- I didn’t expect to have a “Lou Nolan” moment last night… but after a few knuckle heads tried to express their displeasure by throwing their rally towels on the ice I had to make the “announcement.”

I am with you. The other fans around us revolted and stopped it. Luckily it did not go far enough to warrant a penalty.

Says the fan of the team with Corey Perry. Just good to know the Ducks would never "goon it up" in the playoffs.

That was a great game last night. I am one of the few who had the Preds advancing in this series and am hopeful they get it done tomorrow. Would love to see a team from a "non-traditional" hockey market take home the Cup!

Yeah that's rich. perry, garbutt, bieksa, kesler, stewart, stoner....

Neal plays dirty, weber plays dirty at times, Ribeiro is a female dog and give out some extra slashes, but I think Anaheim DEFINITELY takes the cake as far as being dirtier team.

I watched this game from start to finish last night. "Thugging it up" did I miss something ?

Yes, you missed the Ducks being goons on the ice, which they do better than anyone. But Ducks fans are myopic and never see anything wrong with their own team. It probably stems from the very homerish, hockey-tard announcing done by Hayward and Ahlers who spend their time on air whining about non-existent penalties other teams should have been called for against the Ducks.

Btw, this is Lindholm not gooning it up on Ekholm, who was inexplicably called for holding. I'm sure the Ducks announcers were pleased with the righteousness of this call:

That was an impressive defensive game last night from the Predators. If they can do that again, game 7 is in the bag. The Ducks by comparison looked slow and at times uninterested. Even Boudreau didn't seem to think there was too much to worry about based on his 2nd period comments. Without Andersen playing at a stellar level, the Ducks would have gotten blown out. He made some incredible saves, which is a testament to the Predator's offense. The Ducks' defense however, ick.

For all that is good and holy: please beat the Ducks Wednesday and make it 4 game 7 loses in a row all at home. Please.

I'll chime in on the goonery of the Ducks. Yes, the Ducks have historically taken many penalties, and many cheap shots. In fact, Perry can be a total pesky turd who slashes on a regular basis, but no more so than Neal and Ribeiro. Recall Neal on the Penguins? Total turd, who appears to have changed most of his ways since arriving in Nashville. Problem with Perry is that his cheap shots aren't always backed up by stellar play - and the more frustrated he gets (due to crap play), the cheaper the shots. But to say that the Ducks are the biggest goons is pushing it. To my knowledge (which may be questionable), we've never had the kinds of players that launch off the ice and act the thug-part that is characteristic of many other teams' histories (e.g., Flyers).

That wasn't when the call was made, go farther to when Hampus is in front of the net, that's when Ekholm grabbed him and the call was made. It was a weak call to be sure but that's when it happened.

That's refreshing to see an objective response from a ducks fan. Oh wait... from boston... that's why I'm just being a Richard, so please ducks fans, don't take that to heart... lol

As a predators fan, Perry spearing Rinne in the 2010 series is burned in my mind. In my opinion Perry is one of the worst in hockey (barring the clear front runners with no skill, i.e. Cooke, Torres, Avery)

It always seems like in game 7's it's a 3rd or 4th line player that can be a game changer. I'd like to see Nystrom in game 7. I thought Bass in game 6 was odd.

I live in Boston but don't let that influence your opinion. I'm from SoCal - only in Boston because of the job, definitely not the team, fans, weather, women, etc. And yes, there are still objective Ducks fans out there, but like any fan base, we're not abundant.

...but you'd love him on your team, as would 27 other teams that passed on him in 2003.

Asp.- I was just kidding with you brother. Plenty of knowledagble hockey fans in ever fan base. The guy who said the ducks aren't a, "dirty"/rough team us kidding himself. That's how they play and win. That's how I remember this core group. A physical, intimidating, and dirty at times bunch of dudes. And there's nothing wrong with that. They've won a lot of games because of that in recent years.
