What is quality start percentage? |

I believe it is a goalie start where the goalie has a Save Percentage above the league median.
So if the average save percentage for a goalie is .913, a quality start would be any time a goalie posts a sv. pct above .913. |

Can't think of the last time Albany was any good. Nice to have strong farm system. Plus they're missing Coleman they really are stacked. |

Probably have to go back to the 95-96 team with Elias to find a deeper Albany team. |

Lundqvist gets pulled so many often they're going to start calling it 'Hank the goaltender.' 94 and a Nevermore! |

Should he be a finalist...sure, but Holtby should win without a doubt. W's thats what matters and that's what wins you the Vezna. If the wins were close the other stats serve as a tie breaker, but...W's that's what counts |

But I am a Leafs fan so I really don't know much about W's |

A-Devils win 5-1. O'Brien with two goals. Zacha, Boucher and Thompson get the others.
Severson, O'Brien and Boucher all get 3 point nights. |

I'm just glad Holtby only tied Marty's record and didn't take sole possession. |

Then can we proclaim this as the greatest Albany Devils team of all time. Albany just sounds so much better than Lowell. |

what's amazing on that '96 River Rats team, is our leading top 2 scorers Bobby House and Scott Pellerin went on to become nothing at the NHL level.
NHL notables included:
Elias, Sykora, Sullivan, Pandolfo, Souray, Bombardir, Oliwa, Rheaume, Schwab, Dunham.
Maybe they did more in the playoffs, but Sykora, Pando, Souray only played 5, 5, and 6 games that year. |

It will be interesting to see if Stemp comes back to NJ. With him having a residence in Boston, if he liked it there and got a good offer, it would be a natural fit. NJ is in a better position to offer him more money and he played very well with Rico and company so it will be interesting to see what happens.
We have a lack of RW depth outside of Palmeiri we are pretty lacking in players that are natural to that side. |

If that's what it takes, I'll pass. The way I see it, unless we get him for pennies, that space is better used by Thompson or whoever we draft this year. |

Going to have to spend money somewhere though. Not sure Palmieri and DSP extensions get them to cap floor. Massive amount of money coming off the books with the Zubrus buyout (3 mil plus), Ruutu ( almost 4 mil) and Elias (5 mil plus). |

Elias-Zacha-Boucher
Kalinen-Josefson-DSP

I'll take any of Stamkos, Okposo and Boedker instead of Stempniak |

yeah, I'm pretty sure most would, but they are in quite the different dollar range than Stempniak. |

Right but you have a limited amount of forward spaces. If you sign Stempniak, you play him. If you add other high talent, you start to lose places for your Thompsons and Josefsons |

They should stay away from Boedker. Stamkos is unrealistic to me. And if people complain about Zajac not producing more, paying Okposo $6-7 mil to put in 40-50 points would be bad. |

I don't really see the problem here honestly. We have a ton of money and he's very talented and gritty provided the term isn't too crazy.
Also I'm not against the money on Zajac as much as the term. It's a bit much, but he's a valuable player. |
