Good piece about D ice time, didnt realize the time disparity. One of Deboer goals was to cut Burnsies ice time down with the addition of Polak. Seems to have worked. Less of 88s defensive liability out there.

Blood in the water, we're comin for you tomorrow.

damn, who would've thought both chicago and LA would be facing elimination this early in round 1

Thanks guys!

Yea those ice time differences are truly ridiculous. Game 3 was even worse considering McBain played about 5 minutes.

where is the veteran poise of a team that's won 2 cups? where's the core leadership? that part simply can't happen, and that's even before getting into how the defense is a mess and neither sutter nor lombardi did nearly enough to shore it up during the regular season, and now we're seeing the pains of that in the TOI discrepancies.

this sharks team is deeper, faster, and has better goaltending than years past. if the kings don't find a way to clog up the neutral zone like they did in game 3 (which they still barely won even in doing so).

i'm still mortified to think farther ahead that greene has one more year, scuderi has one more year, and there are no answers on d if anyone gets hurt (as martinez's injury has shown). gravel or forbort or whoever needs a legit shot to stay with the big club all season and grow into meaningful minutes.

another thing to consider: sutter's contract is up. if the kings wash out in year one, does he come back or do they look for a different voice? does john stevens get elevated?

Very disappointed in Carts for taking that meaningless penalty. It was very late and barely a glancing blow. If you're going to do something so stupid at least Kermit Washington him and make it worth it. add to that the he, Kopi, and Lucic each had exactly one SOG and you have problems. the oft mentioned Scuderi managed to put 2 on net. And what about Lucic's problem getting the puck out of the (frank)ing zone????? He wasn't alone, but it seemed to happen to him A LOT.
The only person that this series shines an advantage on is AMart and his agent...
Heading into the third last night I felt like this:

Not even the two goals scored later got me off the couch. It aint over, but it sure feels like it. Being on the brink is worse than actual elimination.

Playing 30 minutes a night for 4 straight physical games will definitely take its toll. I said yesterday that Game 4 was going to be the deciding factor in the series. I'm not sure if we see LA go down tomorrow night or not, but I'll be surprised if those one goes to 7. Granted, we were unable to finish the Kings off in 2014.. but I truly do believe this is a different team with a different mentality and so far we have made LA play catch up and chase. 4 games in, and LA has a total of 4 minutes leading a game. Absolutely insane.

No credit to my D?
- BeastModeS62

Paul Martin has been quietly noticeable, which is a great compliment, but your D corp isn't so suppressive that the Kings top 6 are only getting handfuls of shots per game. Sure they're getting some shot blocks, but for sucks fake the Kings are playing lost... I hope the forwards take a look at what worked in the third, and that was PUT THE PUCK ON NET A LOT !!!

Outside of the absolutely criminal no calls in the last 5 minutes, the Sharks deserve to win the series. They are certainly a much better team and that power play is nasty. I don't know what Sutter is doing with the lines, but they certainly aren't working. Taffoli, Carter Pearson, need to play together and figure it out from there. Where was Gaborik last night? I don't think the D is that bad, the line combos look right at the moment.

Oh and Doughty is shooting WAY too much. It's too obvious.

No, this is Jake Gardiner. I'm better than Doughty, Wbert, Josi, Keith, and McDonagh.

It kinda (but not really) makes me feel better about the Hawks that LA is in the same situation. Would be epic to see both teams use that championship experience and desire to pull out 3 straight wins Every dog has its day, and the Core group of both LA+Chicago cannot do it on their own. Both our teams bottom 3 D are mediocre at best, and our depth forwards have not been scoring. For the Hawks, Toews+Kane have 0 goals combined. Not sure how Kopi+Carter are doing, but eventually the Salary Cap wins....

Makes me feel better too. Sharks looking like the 2012 version of the Kings.

Blues are looking very dominant too. I'm thinking a blues Caps final. We'll see.

To do list in the summer

1. Sign Lucic
2. Trade for/sign Dman
3. For the love of god get rid of Brown

Not 100 but I think the Sharks blocked more shots than you guys last night. I would say our D has been more effective than you want to credit. Still love you though

Not sure why Toffoli isnt getting more important minutes, playing Brownie more than him in the final minutes is borderline criminal. I get Brown brings the pain but I would take goal scoring skill over that.

That had to be a setup because BOS didnt need Jonsey, sneaky GMs. At least BOS wont get a high first out of the deal, they were hoping for a lotto pick out of us

I heard somewhere that during the negotiation Boston informed LA that exactly this (flipping Jones to SJ) was a strong possibility. Interesting and if true you can "thank" Lombardi, not Boston.

Williams is in WAS, Mitchell went to FLA, Greene and Scuderi are both too old to be an impact. Voynov is enjoying the beautiful sands of Mother Russia and the rest of the team is too soft or too stupid to win.

4. hope that one or both of scuderi/greene retires to give cap space and that can break in gravel/forbort on the 3rd pair in the reg season.
