Couture is too good of a player to play as crappy as he has so far. If I were the Kings I'd watch out for him tonight.

Prediction... 4-2 Sharks. Couture with 2 goals.

First team to flinch loses. That being said, Kings take it going away 5-2. Carter scores and so does a Dman. I'll got out on another limb and say the Sharks don't score on their 1st SOG of the game...

Love Doughty playing the 2014 card after they won a tight OT game. Doughty says they are right where they wanna be, I agree down in the series is right where I want them

I kind of get the feeling that the Sharks have to win tonight to win this series. I think the Kings take it 3-2. Let's hope Mcpairing doesn't play that many minutes.

Somebody's going to have to win one at home, and it'll happen in game 5!

See, the difference between the Kings and Sharks is, The Kings have every right in the world to feel confident about being down in a series. Our team has heart. Your team will be looking over their shoulder the entire series.

Still, penalties are the big factor in this series for the Kings. Next after that is breaking the forecheck of SJ. Getting out of the zone and winning those board battles/supporting the puck has been a weakness for the Kings.

so tonight, if they stay out of the box, move their feet a bit and be more decisive and put more effort into their own zone we should see another win.

I would like to see some more production from Carter, Tofolli, Brown and Versteeg. I am pretty sure Gabby is going to get his the way he has been playing.

For me, this game is the deciding factor for this series. If the Sharks win, I think they'll advance. They aren't going to give up a 3-1, it's just not going to happen. If LA wins tonight, I think LA will end up taking the series in 7.. again. With Martinez out again, this is definitely the Sharks game to lose. I also believe that we'll see more goals tonight, with the Sharks powerplay actually chipping 1 or 2 in. 0-5 was a rarity and is unlikely to happen again.

The Kings need to stop taking dumb penalties if they want to win, and the Sharks need to capitalize if the Kings do take those penalties. The 4th line for the Sharks needs to tighten up the discipline as well as the majority of the Kings PPs have come from 4th line hiccups.

Go Sharks!

it was so nice watching Nashville beat the loving poop out of your team. Absolute garbage. I thought brucie's head was going to explode.

I said nothing about 2014. They went down 0-2 against the blues a few years back. But 2014 is a good example as well now that you bring it up. They play their best hockey when their backs are against the wall. Championship players. You can't say that about the sharks. Except for jones.

Agree on all points. The winner in tonight's game goes on to eventually win series. Kings defensive depth isn't strong enough to overcome a 3-1 series deficit as currently constructed. If Kings win, they simply need 2 wins in 3 games, 2 of which are in the friendly confines of Staples Center. I can tell you this much, the Kings have been a dominant home team all year, the consecutive home losses were more aberration than anything else and will not happen again. If Kings win tonight, we don't need to win on road again, simply hold serve. Not to mention how it'll reinforce the narrative of the Sharks as being incapable of closing teams outs. Kings HAVE to limit penalties to 4 or less in this game. Probably 3. The sharks will eventually score on them. It's what their team and organization has been about for the last half decade. They win games with special teams, they typically struggle against sound 5v5 play. Exact opposite of Kings. If the Kings take only a couple penalties tonight, they most likely win. Anything more than that and I think Sharks find a way.
