among all of the things that amaze me about Marc Bergevin's incompetence as a GM, the prospect situation really takes the cake. typically when you see a group of prospects as lousy as Montreal's, it's because a team has spent years supplementing an "in its prime" core through the trading of picks and prospects. but this is not the case in Montreal. to oversee such poor prospect depth organization-wide while also doing nothing to improve the current NHL group is no small feat, and Marc Bergevin should take a bow. it's not easy to accomplish so little in 4 years but he makes it look that way.
