Absolutely vicious swing. That stuff needs to be eliminated from the game. How the DOPS missed this is an absolute joke

I can remember the blog that discussed the Cullen signing. It was the same day, or right around it anyway, that the Rangers signed Jarrett Stoll. I asked everyone who'd they would of rather signed Cullen or Stoll...pretty much everyone said Cullen... Pretty much everyone was right. What an edition he is... I wouldn't even care if he was making 2 to 3 mill this year the way he's played for us.

Thats very dirty by Letang but I really don't think it happens if he isn't being checked the exact same time.

They didn't miss it. They just don't care.

that 3rd period was a thing of beauty. completely shut down the rangers and controlled play. if there was nothing there, get it deep. Kessel made a few great choices of gaining the zone and just putting a shot on net. haven't seen a pens team close out a game like that in a looooong time.

Technically yes he should be suspended or at least a hearing, but the NHL will not do that they want to see Sid vs Ovechkin so bad they will make sure the Pens get out of this round. That being said I am rooting for the Pens all the way since I am a fan of theirs after the Islanders (weird I know but I was a Pens fan first) and of course to knock out the Rangers

My real point is that the NHL doesn't care about an incident like this unless it leads to a serious injury. If Ryan McDonaugh had done the same thing to Chris Kunitz, the response (ie nothing) would have been the same.

Thanks for your support, but I don't think the NHL is simply favoring the Pens. They win either way because they also win when the world's largest media market goes deep into the playoffs.

My real point is that the NHL doesn't care about an incident like this unless it leads to a serious injury. If Ryan McDonaugh had done the same thing to Chris Kunitz, the response (ie nothing) would have been the same.

Yeah because as we know crosschecking someone viciously in the neck three times is just "Playoff" hockey. And of course because it was a Rangers player doing it to Sid, its a clean play.

You forgot to make crosscheck plural.

If you read our blog everyone agrees that it should have been a penalty to Letang where you holier than thou Rag fans didn't anything was wrong with what Staal did and used the "it's playoff hockey excuse".

Also the refs missed the highstick in the first on Letang but we'll conveniently won't mention that.

Not to mention a Crosby vs. Toews throwdown hasn't happened either and St. Louis is in the process of cementing that this year.
