Todd Cordell: Elias, Zacha Star As Devils Top Maple Leafs In Season Finale

I can't help but be optimistic about the direction of the Devils. It's been a long time since we had young players to look forward to seeing. Can't wait for 2016-17.

Very excited for next year, I think Ray definitely needs to let a lot of dead weight walk via free agency fill those slots with these young kids and maybe make a trade or two to add another young gun like Yakupov and maybe move up in the draft if at all possible. I would be for bringing Elias back on a 1 year deal on the cheap if his body can handle it he still has a hell of a wrist shot and can be a playmaker all while being responsible with the puck, youth is definitely the way to go but should always be balanced with some veteran presence to mentor these guys and who better than Elias especially for Zacha. THANK YOU Todd in a world full of negative media coverage surrounding the Devils it's always nice to get the real deal. Until the draft frenzy have a good summer everybody.

Really think Zacha may have just extended Patty Elias' career another year! Wow those two looked good together! Patty still has some gas left in the tank and while we all want to see the Devils get younger (me included), veteran leadership is a must! We don't want to end up like Edmonton. I say bring Patty back on a 1 year deal and put him and Zacha on a line together, maybe even with DSP. That's a solid 3rd line right there at least to start the season. Could end up being line 1C.

Its It's great seeing the youth make an impact and hopefully it's a sign of things to come, I know some people in here were concerned that zacha wasnt putting up numbers in sarnia but he sure looked strong on the puck with smart plays, he sure does look ready for next season

Same dude been busy has heck but managed to watch the last game! You should try and find it online to watch it was the most exciting Devils game in years lol I think we got to remember though that they looked good against an ahl team and that might have a bit to Do with how well all te kids looked.
