Do they want it really? Im sorry but Zetterberg and Datsyuk are simply not the players they once were. If they really want it, they both have to show up and Datsyuk has to play like there is no tomorrow because he could leave after this season.

Im excited to see young players like Mantha, Larkin ,Athanasiou play. They also have several promising forwards in grand rapids and beyond.

Im worried about the defense though. In my opinion its a lackluster group. they need a guy who can anchor the defense and they simply dont have it (although these players arent easy to find). They dont have anything coming in Grand Rapids either.

Believe me, most Ranger fans know it would probably be better if we lose today. If the Islanders pick up 1 of a possible 4 points as they play tomorrow too, they get Pitssburgh & we'll get the other bracket & play Florida in the 1st RD. So, not saying the players ARE going to lay down for Detroit but if we do lose & the above happens I won't be too upset. Good luck boys.

Small disagreement. Robbie Russo appears to be someone worth looking forward to. I doubt he'll be elite, but if he pans out and pairs with DeKe, I think you have something similar to what Kronwall and Stuart were in their primes. A very effective shutdown pair.

I think youre right about this, however i think what he means is we have no #1 defender on the way. Which is also very true, but those are basically really really difficult to find

Biggest game of the year and Andersson is playing...Mantha's D really is poor and Jurco & Pulkkinen really are that terrible.

That's actually true. Tampa has a good team and is very deep but without stralman and stamkos they very beatable. hard to believe just squeezing into the pkayoffs gives U.S. a decent first round matchup.
