It is unreal that Subban was not chosen for the King Clancy award. It says a lot about the state of this team. They can't even pick the obvious choice. Subban should be the winner of the award in the League let alone the Canadiens. If he is hated in the dressing room, Bergevin will have to trade him and they will lose the trade.

PK does one big donation vs PAtches doing multiple charity work.

King Clancy awards isn't about the amount of money you give... it's about the leadership you display and how much/many times you help out.

PK has done more than the "One donation".
He actually gives back a lot. In the Toronto area he supports youth hockey and underprivileged youth.
Remember that as the Captain (patches) you are expected to do these things. Whereas there is no expectation put on the shoulders of a guy like PK... he just chose to do things for his communities.

Good to hear it was missed! Had to post quickly b4 taking my son for his 2 months appointment. 64cm at two months, we're skipping hockey and going straight to basketball

I'll set up a few Q's and will update the blog.

5 Questions for tonight's game:

1) Are people making the King Clancy nomination a bigger deal than it actually is?
-Probably. Although it really does recognize folks for giving back when they have the means to do so.

2) If Subban recovers in time, should he play in the World Championship for Team Canada in May in Russia?
- this may be unpopular... but I say No. Let him rest and recover to 100%. Similarly if Price was able to play for Canada at the Worlds I would say no for the same reasons.

3) Will Lindgren impress and earn a W in his first NHL start or will he be hung out to dry?
- I certainly hope not!!! I hope the kid lets in one goal... and Ward, or whoever gets the SO

4) Mike Brown replaces John Scott in the lineup tonight. Would you have rathered seen Stefan Matteau or another young player dress instead?
-Meh... at this point who cares really. Getting into a game at this point of the season... Only thing would be getting them real game action; but could hurt confidence if they get shelled.

5) Galchenyuk has the inside edge to 30 goals this season with 28 goals. Does he score tonight?
- I think Chucky will score one in the next two games... coming up JUST shy.

And patches has done more. Fefans and the media are looking for BS and creating some with this.

More... HOW ?

unless you mean more uggly uselless goals, or being more afraid to go in the corners, or more afraid of sticking up for a teamate on the ice, or being more of an useless guy ever with a letter on his shirt...

then yeah ok i agree !

dont get me wrong, he a great scoring winger at that price... But I see nothing of a good leader in him !

The King Clancy Memorial Trophy is an annual award given to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.

It has nothing to do with play on ice.
