We are trying to make the playoffs and win a cup, in no way do you put a guy with 4 goals in your top 6.

We only have a handful of guys that can play on every team in the NHL. He's one of them. You keep guys like that.

If thats true then he is a valuable TDL commodity and should be traded for a 3rd line center and a pick or a prospect who is projected to play top 6.

3rd line centers are easy to come by.

I just don't see the value of trading a guy who you're going to miss and wish you had as soon as you trade him. Get a top 6 UFA or trade some picks (we have eleventy in each of the first 2 rounds for the next 18 years) or youngins. We don't have enough room for the prospects as it is. He's an established, known commodity. I wouldn't trade him.

I think you underestimate him, 89...based on past history, his period of adjustment has lead to an uptick in production...see Rochester regular season/playoffs and 2012-13/2013-14...

Bylsma isn't of that opinion as of Tuesday...I think he has upside and in no way is this season indicative of where he'll end up production-wise

Zemgus future right now: 4th line Center. Especially if we get a Top 7 pick who's a winger and a much coveted FA Center...
