Just imagine what the comment section of Jason's blog would look like if this happened to a Kings player....

Let me give you a glimpse:

-classless organization
-classless management
-classless thuggish players
-classless thuggish fans
-the player ought to be deported
-personal attacks and other disconnected rumors about said player
*-poisonous locker room

You have a serious complex.

1) Was Horcoff busted with an illegal narcotic?
2) Was a teammate also busted with an illegal narcotic?
3) Did the Ducks trade for 2 players with numerous rumors circulating of cocaine abuse with their prior organization - one of which was later arrested trying to smuggle Oxy across the Canada border?
4) Did the Ducks have a player arrested and CONVICTED for assaulting his wife?

Every fan base has classless fans. You're a perfect example.

20 games is the minimum. I think a 2nd offense is something like 60 games.

Oh wow... Like I said, not many NHLers get busted with this. Glad it's a good amount of games for a first offense.

Agreed. I think the NHL usually doesn't hand out suspensions that are long enough, but when it comes to this kind of thing, I like how long they suspend players.

maybe you are missing the sarcasm? think hes trying to say, or at least i am, its not right to blame an entire organization from the stick boy to the GM , for things players do in their off time. stuff happens to everyone.

Was Stoll busted with cocaine or XTC? Was it both?

Wasn't Stoll also busted in Vegas coming from a party with other Kings players? Who were the other players?

Yawn. Considering the number of incidents - the Kings organization deserved some blame. Fortunately, Lombardi is the type of guy who can get control of it. He stated there was an issue and took steps.

If you and MikeOX want to whine about it start by asking Lombardi why he addressed the "issues" if the organization didn't have a problem.

The guy took responsibility for his actions. Players are trying to find things to heal quicker not so much to bulk up although that's sometimes the end results. He sounds like a class guy but maybe Duck fans can speak to that.

Well said. Horcoff has always had a solid reputation. Could have been as innocent as a supplement and it isn't cocaine, oxycontine or molly. No way to rationalize that kind of comparison.

He is making a point about how this would have been a completely different scenario from a "fans" point of view if this were a Kings player. No question, fans from all sorts of teams, but mainly this one, would be all over the Kings fans and the organization. No matter what the drug was.

I know someone in the nhlpa substance abuse program that has told me Gaborik has never had a groin issue, it's always been a drug issue.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear of more Kings players testing positive this year.

If this was the Kings, the GM would have to look at Horcoff's value on the ice to determine if he wanted to void his contract. Don't act like the classlessness was limited to a player or two. No one got arrested. No one beat their wife and tried to cover it up. Horcoff isn't getting deported. Murray didn't circumvent the salary cap.

When a normal person has an injury like say a back injury, one of the first things an orthopedist will do is prescribe steroids and exercise to speed up the healing process. I'm not sure if that's what happened here. But I do know I have reason to dislike the Kings, and to hate most of the fans who didn't attend games at the Forum.
