Does anyone else semi think Ghost isn't in the line up because of the fear of Rinaldo pulling some poop with him? Side note, I wish Hexy called up Rosehill for this game. If Rinaldo does something we can't have Simmonds getting another Instigagtor and its a big game when you think of the 4 point swing and stretch of Eastern Conf teams. I just have a feeling Rinaldo is going to be Rinaldo

Who needs a guy who led the AHL in playoff scoring when we've got a guy who works hard in VdV?

Recently acquired center Jordan Weal, the team's lone healthy scratch, will have to wait his turn to make his Flyers debut.

Saturday's game is going to hold a lot of interest between the expected return of Ghost and Weal getting an opportunity. Really want to see a bit more skill injected into the Flyers' bottom 6.

In the medium term I'd like to see lines like these.

Read-Couturier-Schenn
Laughton-Weal-Simmonds
VDV-Bellemare-White
Umberger

No, Gostisbehere is not playing because he's not ready to play yet. Best thing the Flyers can do is ignore Rinaldo, and play the game. Rosehill is on an AHL contract I believe.

The Flyers need at least 54 points in the second half to sniff the playoffs. It's gonna be a battle. The Devils look they are coming back down to earth, but Tampa is starting to pick up the points they should have been getting all along.

Dressing a fighter because of Rinaldo is pointless. Rinaldo is not afraid of anyone, and a fight will come only after he hurts somebody. You need to marginalize him by taking the lead and forcing their coach to keep him off the ice in favor of skill players.

Rinaldo would crush PEB. We don't want anybody useful fighting him unless they are a strong fighter.

14 is a big boy he can take care of himself.

as for calling up ghoul, why? he has played what 30+ pro games? no need for a call up. leave him where he is to continue to learn.

nothing will happen at all unless game is decided at some point is my guess.

Thanks Bill. I appreciate the write up on Shultz yesterday. I am sure that he is a decent player, however I don't think that he needs to be in the top pairing. But, because the team is struggling with not having enough quality D-men, he is often put in a tough position. Thus, he may be trying to do too much, or just can't handle the better players of the opposing team.
I think that a win tonight may depend on how well the Flyers can contain the Bruins first line. These guys will crash the net, and can score. If you shut them down, then the Bruins may get frustrated, and lose focus.
If we can bring up Colin McD, he can counter Rinaldo with any silliness that he may bring to the ice. I would chose him over Rosehill, because Rinaldo is not a heavyweight. In addition, McD played well the last time he was brought up, and had a good preseason.
