Great review of all the players on the team. It seems to me, their biggest problem is the lack of Gionta, Girgensons, Foligno and Moulson contributing to the score sheet. I guess you can add Ennis to this as well, but he has been injured more so than the others.

They all need to contribute on a consistant basis to the scoring sheet for this team to be successful. I'm actually quite surprised by their lack of scoring. I'm not certain if it's getting used to their new teammates or getting used to Bylsma's system.

Quite an oddity since last years goal leaders on the team where:

Ennis - 20
Girgensons - 15
Gionta - 13
Moulson - 13

Any word on when we might see Pysyk again? I think they could use him in the transition game.

a new system and playing at a faster pace takes a lot of adjustment...might take a full season to see who can acclimate

Pach, you have read my stuff already and know that the real answer is that they will acclimate and make the run in January and February.

The only reason I'm not complaining about Girgensons hitting the scoresheet more often is because he's got a ton of responsibility on his shoulders each night in facing the oppositions top line. He's doing a hell of a job at it too, if you ask me. I know Bylsma has said that he really likes how Girgs has been playing as well. I'd love to see him get a few goals here and there, but he's not playing an ineffective game.

He was good on the pp...great passer ( worked well with Kessel )

Always hit the net and had a great quick release...for sure his skating is sub par but I figured if he could play on the pp he would work out for you guys.

Probably doesn't help he's bouncing around teams and learning new systems.

Hopefully in the new year ( I found he played better the more ice he got. )

The problem with that is he's not going to get more ice time than he's been getting. He's on the 3rd pair, and shouldn't be ahead of the guys in front of him on depth chart, so he's going to have to figure out how to be effective with the 15ish minutes he's going to get a night.

I never liked his game... cherry picked on opposing end of neutral ice... the few times he was back in defensive zone he was winded by the time he hit the opposing blue line... he had a hell of a shot, I'll give him that. Every time he hit or got hit he'd look around like he was constipated.

I agree with all of this. Plus, he was a horrible gambler and a poope Olympian.

However, you still missed Pach's witticism.
