I don't think he is lazy , Torts is the problem , they should of kept Richards and let this team find itself or tank, I can't believe we will let a talent like RJ slip because some ego maniac behind the bench already formulated his own opinion .
I drove cross country from Jersey to LA last month and caught the Jackets game when the Blues were in town and Ryan sucked so bad. I didn't think he played that way (i dont see many BJ games) He was slow, lazy and only seemed to care when the puck was on his stick. I say send him to Edmonton for the Nuge.
Other than that, I love Foligno as captain. He plays the way a captain should. Props to the Jackets for keeping him.
We'll gladly take him back here!! Every team Tortellini goes to he takes an important player and destroys their confidence, old school, instead of working with the kid and trying to make him better...it's his MO.
Columbus will absolutely regret this if they push him to the point of asking for a trade. Number centers don't grow on trees and they got lucky with that pick. This kid is extremely talented and still young.

While I kinda agree, he DID IT TO HIMSELF when holding out for that contract he didn't deserve yet and not warrant still. Put him on a second line on a team like LA, Hawks, etc and he'll flourish.
It is not a coincidence that the Rangers players wanted him gone, and some even wanting out of NY all together.
Also the fact that the Cancuks quit on him, and eventually star players like Kesler and Luongo demanded a trade, and players like Hanson just wouldn't perform for him.
And now he is in Columbus and you are seeing the same stuff again. Sucks for you, cause it will become a he goes or I go mentality.
It isn't 2004 anymore, times have changed. Torts system just doesn't work.
Too lazy to type a big thing out. I'm ready to see what we can get for Johansen. If we can get a good deal back, I'd take it. I think this is a headache moving forward with him here.
But to say he's a tremendous skater is hilarious. He's average in the NHL...maybe. Go watch Dallas' 3rd goal again where Seguin scores from the bench across the blueline and in. Now watch Johansen in the background cruising all the way across the ice from the far boards to the bench without moving his legs while the opposing center scores. Tremendous skater and tremendous effort is Ryan.
