He finished the game with a minus-2 rating as he was on the ice for three of Calgary's four goals, including the game-winner.

The game winner reminded me why i hate +/- so much

Cannot wait for Pysyk, and maybe even Lehner to come back, man.

And also, very glad last night's game is the one I decided to actually stay up for on this Western swing. Risto, aside from the obvious, looked like he was on roids last night... explosiveness, determination. Awesome to see a defenseman (especially such a young one) absolutely dominate a period like that.

Yea i won't lie i thought these last 3 games were winnable... to not even walk away with 1 point is a little disheartening

That game is 100% flames hockey....With their terrible Goalie and defensive play, elite players can torch them.

However they play that rope-a-dope style and end up with these stupid late 3rd period comebacks.

They have always been my favorite Western Conference team.

I really like the uniforms/team colors, and, more importantly, I love the way real Canadians pronounce the city's name:

cal-GARY.

It's good to see you back Goose. I know we don't get along so well, but I was genuinely worried something had happened when I didn't see you for a few days. Welcome back! This place just aint the same without you.

ted nolan would have gotten them 2 points with his presence alone behind the bench

Also from the last blog....

I guess there were only a few of us that expected this team to fail this year...
I'm glad I didn't expect much. On the other hand I do see a bright future for this team. []

I'm with you. I've said since the very beginning of this year that this team could finish anywhere from being the 5th overall pick to possibly pushing for the final playoff spot in the east. With what we've seen so far, I think when all is said and done they'll finish about 7-10 from the bottom of the league.

I never expected us top in the east but i do expect progress... and this continuing trend of soft starts is worrisome

Great point at the end with getting shots through. The big thing with franson is he may get them through but shoots it wide. Kane would shoot it even if there's a wall in the way.

Lidstrom was the best I've seen do it. Doesnt have to be the hardest or most accurate shot just always got it on net.

Risto is no Lidstrom but i'd rather have patience over and huge slapper on the PP

The hot start and slow start from other atlantic teams gave us false hope

But as predicted by most in the summer, highlight of the year will be the draft...and i suppose the WJ's.
