This is so stupid it is laughable! Perhaps if the #1 comes to the Isles and the #2 goes the other way... Nah it would still be stupid. |

How can a source be reliable when they haven't given you anything that actually happens? |

Ryan Johannson is worth more tha Hamonic, don't ya think? Just leave Okposo out of it, leave the picks as is and do the swap. |

assuming this is true (most likely isn't, I know). What would we have to give to the Blue Jackets? I'm assuming a centre to help soften the blow of losing Johansen...
Backlund/Granlund are probably the only ones we have available. We would also probably like to add in one of our dmen to make room.
Backlund/Granlund
Russell and/or Wideman (at 50% if need be)
2nd/3rd rounder
(frank), I don't know seems pretty far fetched but I can't see us giving up much more than this. |

As an islander fan i would like johansen but thats way to much for him......maybe someone here can tell me how this trade makes sense for the islanders |

Finally a Hamonic rumor that starts to make some sense.
1C for a 1w + 5d. Based on where both teams should end the season, the picks are almost a swap. Islanders 1st pick will be 21-30, cbj's 2nd round will be 31-40.
I would think the prospect dman would go the other way as an add in.
Johanssen is the best player in the deal, which makes the isles a winner even though they are, on paper, giving up to much to get him. |

I wouldn't trade two of my best players, one of my best prospects and a first round pick for Malkin, never mind Johansen. |

Send Johansen to Toronto for JVR and Kadri. Leafs finally get their big #1 centre

Garth Snow needs to quit dragging his feet on this Hamonic deal. Sure he wants to get value, but you can't have this sideshow for the team currently fighting for a playoff spot. |

I've said it before, if Hamonic can't be had for a package that doesn't include: One of our top 3 d, any current or future top 6 forwards, or our 1st round pick then we will be out.
We don't need him, and we won't overpay for him.
That leaves Russell/Wideman/Granlund and maybe a 2nd as the most likely package being offered. If they don't like it they can go fist themselves and we will continue to roll with what we have. |
