Have no issues with Iggy squashing the rumours early, especially since they were started by that hack Dater.
He doesnt want to uproot his family, if he wants a trade in the offseason to play out the final year of his contract, thats different since its a full year plan.
As rumoured, He picked the Avs over Lightning and Islanders at UFA since he wanted a place for his kids to play good minor hockey and a place he could potentially settle down in after he retires. I assume those will still be major factors in any trade, if he decides he wants one this offseason.
Hope Iggy stays in Colorado, hes one of the good ones |

Open your mouth and prepare to eat your hat, because you've been going on and on about the Jets/Flyers and Big Buff rumor forever. Guess what...it's never happened and it won't while Hexy is the GM in Philly. |

What is with the Byfuglien-Flyers connection? How can he help a team in transition? The Flyers are not a playoff team, and while I think their goaltending has been pretty good, their defense is not and their offense is at best luke warm (Giroux and Voracek are not playing at the level they could or should be). Can Byfuglien stimulate offensive production on this team or would he accept a more defensive role? I just can't imagine he is what they need right now. |

a big part of the flyers issue is puck control, outlets from the dmen to the forwards transitioning from D to O. They constantly lose the zone because of bad keeps by dmen at the point. |

I can see from a family stand point why Iggy would not want to be traded this early in the year, they've gone from Calgary to Pittsburg to Boston to Colorado all in the last 5 years. That's gotta be hard when you have 3 young kids, to change schools like that all the time. If he went at the trade deadline, I could see his hunger for a cup maybe enticing him to change his mind. At this point though, family first for him in my opinion.. |

Who the hell is going to take Marleau? 36 years old, $6.7M cap hit, and two years remaining AFTER this season. The sharks would have to eat a ton of salary. |

Could see him doing it at the deadline next year if he's got one last shot at a cup. Won't have to move the family for it. |

Agreed because if we get buff there is no way we're going to give him the contract he wants which is somewhere between 6-8 yes with 6 plus mil a year. Hextall isn't that stupid |

Deadline next year for sure. It really depends at how the Avs finish the season. if the somehow squeak in or are 4-6 points out of the playoffs, I see him starting the 2016-17 season there. If they are a dumpster fire and like 10 points out. I think he gets moved at the draft |

We will see if he holds the same line at the trade deadline... the Avs will likely be on the outside looking in and he would probably have a pick at whatever contender he wanted.
He just does not want to be traded now. - Mashadar
Hope your right, would love to see him here for the Playoff ! |

......Enstrom and Byfuglien is overkill for Giroux |
|
|
|
I can see the Jets trading both Ladd and Buff as neither will be worth the contract they want. right now I'd be happy losing Enstrom as well!! This is a long shot!! but if the Flyers retain some salary on MacDonald and they also send us one of Morin/Sanhiem/Provorov then maybe something can be worked out?

Marleau would be a good fit for the Islanders.... they need a consistent LW to play with Tavares instead of the constant rotation they tinker with. Plus, they have a lot of depth they can give in return. |
