Not enough forward talent when it comes to scoring goals..their is no point in arguing the merits of Couturier or B Schenn as secondary players..both do things well and both struggle at other things.. I would be okay in moving either or both if it makes the team better. Im not interested in trading either just for the sake of making a trade to change it up. I feel you do that with other players.

Not enough speed throughout lineup and their is literally nothing abrasive about playing against the Flyers.

We know the d was going to be meh for this season with the hope of the prospects coming 1 this year maybe and more over the next few years. TBH..it's not the defense that is killing this team right now its the offense because you still need to score at least 1 goal to win.

I dont think anyone expected Voracek would be as useless as he has been. Same with Simmonds and those two are killing the team.

I havent figured out yet why people are pointing to Giroux and saying he isnt a leader..You could have Messier as captain of this team and its not changing any of the above.

The Flyers need talent..They need it desperately on offense and its easier to see it coming on defense.

When's the last time they had a bunch of guys who could pass the puck well?

This has been brutal hockey for a while.

How far out of a playoff spot are we now. I need to feel like we're still in it.

Remember that time we made the playoffs and took the Rangers to 7 games in the first round and the Rangers went to the finals?

What a bunch of pukes.

Tomorrow. The trade deadline. The draft floor.

I can't wait to see this roster shaken up. It's been three years and things have only looked worse.

That wasn't it, though that squad looks like the '80's Oilers by comparison.

People should stop complaining
Avalanche game was a bad one but more then a Wildcard spot was NEVER realistic.

The key issue is that they're not skating, they're not hitting, they're just going through the motions. They need to play with passion, they need a spark.

They can go on and on about how the locker room is great, but on the ice its the same old same old.

I'm sick of it.

Pathetic.

Manning shouldn't be in the NHL, I don't care who they call up and I know he's not the reason for everything gone wrong but to continue to play this guy is insanity.

I am not a fan of our forward corps. Having said that, I can only presume that with a group of 6 defenseman that was properly assembled, you would see a vast improvement in terms of offense. They are so bad that everyone is overcompensating. There is nothing natural about their play. They don't pinch when they should, they do when they shouldn't. There is no puck support. There is nothing. They suck and I hate them.

And the dumping of the puck on every play is not something I thought we would see with Hakstol.

i thought getting the offensive juggernaut that is couturier in the line up would produce wins!

I would love to make a move, but with all of the dead weight on the books this year, I feel like we'd be better off playing out the year with our current roster and addressing it next year when we have more flexibility.

This is going to be a long season, what to do?? The NHL talking expansion is a joke when here in Philly we have half a team of minor leaguers. I am a Flyers lifer but this is getting pretty sad. I am not sure the new coach is going to succeed in getting the wins with this group. I just can not see 93 and 28 lighting it up any time soon. So many culls on this team has got to be demoralizing for the better players. Hope they can turn it around but personally I am at the end of my rope!

What other D corps is remotely as bad as ours? None. It's pretty simple-ish

My opinion of Couturier has never changed, offensively he is a plug and that is not gonna change. Goaltending is not an issue. Manning, Schenn, Gudas, McDonald are right offs, Streit and MDZ are 3 and 4 dmen, we do not have a top pairing and offence starts with defence getting the puck up ice. Enough already, this is going nowhere.

Well said! At this point I would sit Vinny and a couple of his pals and bring up a few from the farm, like two dmen and two forwards, got nothing to lose. Bring up Cousins and play him over Vinny, at least for a few games, give the young guys a chance and maybe inject some hustle.

I don't care about the result. I care that the effort was BS, on home ice no less. I feel bad for fans that paid to see that cra£.

Unrelated, Nuevy looked bad for the first time this year.

It's very frustrating that this team produces zero forecheck. It also frustrates me when there's a scramble in front of the net and no one goes to help out the goalie. Tonight they played with no heart.
