Yeah, O'Reilly will NEVER be able to produce without 'Dutch'.

I've got a hard on for O'Reilly like I haven't had for a player since LaFontaine.

He's so damn good in all areas of the game and plays with a ton of confidence. You can start to see it carry over the other players as well.

They're not world beaters but they're getting better every game.

I look forward to games now, not dread them.

No it was ROR will never be able to produce without good line mates, Dutch has nothing to do with his success. Av Fans are not shocked to see him producing a huge clip, hes getting good line mates and more of a role with the Sabres. He produced when he had Dutch as his Center, produced when he C Landeskog and McKinnon, and produced at the Worlds last summer.

Weber has actually been pretty decent this year. Can't say I've watched Myers play at all this season though.

Shortly after the trade was made social media ABOUNDED with trash talk about not living up to his contract and his inability to produce without good teammates. I painted things with a broad stroke of the brush when i mentioned Duchene.

Not that you might have noticed but I haven't been on here much in the past two years. I can't comment on the attitudes of fans towards O'Reilly on here. In general O'Reilly got ripped on Twitter, blogs, chatboards, etc.

I'm just thrilled that TMGM had the balls to make the move.

ROR is a special player, but Avs couldn't keep him, and the whole debate of should have traded Duchene and keep ROR is flawed as well when they have MacK in the mix who is looking like such a legit star this season (offensively better than Dutch and showing he has a stronger Defensive side now, getting PK time). Hes going to be the 7m+ Center for this team, Duchene is the 2nd line C. Cant be paying ROR over 7.5m to play 2nd line duties for my team.

You guys have a very special player, it was just one of this situations that it was time to move on. I am happy with the trade as Zads is going to be such a terror in the not to distant future.

If the way you say things before you think on here is any indication, you may need to work on not just spewing anything that comes to mind.

Weber is a -5 turnover machine in sheltered minutes. Myers is a -3 against top lines playing a lot more minutes.

Watch his game. In any given game there will be a GUARANTEED shift or two where he has a giveaway and a pass to his teammate right in between the skates that leads to a turnover.

Without being a spot duty penalty killer he has ZERO value on a NHL roster.

Colorodo has/had one of those rare "problems" where the cupboard was so full of top six forwards (especially on the dot) that they HAD to make a move (as you clearly stated). There was no way they could have kept ROR.

One of those deals where both teams win.

Unless its for a tanking season Weber has no value at all.

Personally I know him as a really nice guy and person he is just not a good NHL defensemen.
