HUGE break for us getting the backup for MTL tonight. I remember towards the end of last season teams were marking us on their schedule to play their backup net minders. I don't think this is the case this time, pretty sure Price needed a night off.

I am also intrigued by Ike centering Ennis and Gionta. Does Ennis then move to LW?

Still love Reinhart proving that he deserves time in the top 6. BALLIN'!

I would think Ennis is on the left to keep Gionta in his preferred role. I think splitting up 9 and 15 will do wonders for the offense. Reinhart will set up Kane. Eichel won't have to worry about trying to set up Kane and can take some of those shots, he chose to pass.

this is your last chance jack. the shots are great and all, but I need tangible points from you tonight. even just 1 or youll find yourself an umemployed free agent

the mongs in my league have somehow left kuznetzov as a free agent and pairing him with ovechkin on my squad feels like something I shoulda done a few games ago. but i believed in keeping you instead.

last warning bro....

Remember how we turned backups into all world goalies by the end of the game ? I hope that has ended.

They're due for a loss, and we're due for a game where we get some bounces... ?

I think you meant backing Johnson, not baking. That would make for an interesting hockey game though.

Yeah starting Condon is definately not because they think the Sabres will be an easy win. The Sabres won three games against Montreal last year. The Habs always start the backup when they play two games in two nights. I guess they would rather start Price at home against the Leafs on a national Saturday night game.

That was my estimation as to why Condon was playing. Leafs at home on HNIC? Put Price on display.

the other side of the logic is that the team should be fresher in front of condon tonight. tomorrow night on the 2nd night of a back to back they may not be as sharp and will need to rely on price to keep them in it until they get their legs.

So, I just dont.like Gionta in the top 6...I think he would be better served on line 3 ... and have Girgensons move up. Larson can center McGinn and Gionta.

On another note, I am interested to see what Ullman has. Lookout if he looks good, not that I would expect them to keep him up..but it would be another factor to look forward to.

Is Garth gone? I don't ever remember his column not being in the top right, but I may be wrong?

I 100% agree with this. I don't like Gionta in the top 6 either.

I'd put Girgensons at 2RW

then

Moulson - Larsson - Gionta as the 3rd line.

Deslauriers - Legwang - McGinn/Foligno

I still think McGinn is much better than a 4th liner but right now I don't see where he nor Foligno fit in better. Someone has to be traded soon.
