Bill, any idea what couturier, Ginny and street are doing if they are not here already? Couturier is a guy I'd like to see being taking advantage of any opportunity to get better right now, especially given the contract extension. And you'd think VLC would be doing the same. I know it's not mandatory to be there right now, but it seems like everyone els has come in early ahead of camp.

Probably with personal trainers, I wouldn't look to much into it. Unless we can use this ala the Mike Richard's termination to get rid of Vinny. The other guys obviously had valid excuses. Vinny blocked a potential trade!

Not going to read too much into who hasn't reported yet, and I doubt the guys who haven't shown up yet are sitting up at their cottages, drinking beer and fishing. Still with a new coach, you'd hope that everyone would show early, especially a guy who just got a new deal and a guy who should be trying hard to make a good first impression on a new coach.

It's still 10 days before mandatory report date. If it was next Wed, I would be wondering.

Vinny showing up now would be like a convicted felon showing up early to prison.

Oh, yeah, it's not a big deal at all. I'm sure that everyone who hasn't been in town is working out and staying in top shape.

Are there any early conditioning reports out there yet? Anyone come back in better/worse shape than expected?

That's the reason I asked. I don't think it's a bad thing that they aren't here yet, you'd just think with the fresh start everyone would want to be here early. Especially guys needing to take the next step and guys that have lived in a dog house for the last couple of years.

If they are working on their own, which I'm sure they are, that's great. I just think it would be cool to see the last 2 or 3 guys come in if everyone else is already.

Glad it appears Raffl will get 1LW. He's clearly the best option. Wouldn't mind starting out with Read-Couts-Schenn as L2 to see if anything is there. Flyers desperately need to find scoring depth if they roll with G and Jake on the same line again.

Giving Schenn another crack at RW on Couturier line is something I'm open to seeing play out again, as suggested. Schenn is below average at faceoffs so if he figures it out this year, I think it's going to have to be at wing.

A third line, assuming Laughton can make the team, of
Gagner-Laughton-Simmonds, I can get behind as well.

I think they need Ganger on Coots left wing then assuming Read doesn't blow up offensively.
