To this day I have no idea how to remove posts or ban people. If somebody did something it wasn't me.

you shoulda shown some stones and went with nurse as the most important prospect we have. cause he is.
for so many reasons.

we need a true 1 stud defender more than we need a true stud 1 center. even if he is a generational talent.

and just for argument sake; a shea weber or chris pronger does more for the oilers right now than Sidney Crosby does.

im not even downplaying mcdavids potential. its absolutely through the roof. like all time good. and I do think he will be that. watching the skillz he possesses is unbelievable.
but this isn't about who our best prospect is (which is certainly connor) its who our most important is. and that is most definitely a guy who might be a true 1 minute eater that can do it all.

connor can net 70 points as a rook which puts him in the top 15-20 in scoring and a top 10 center and we could still easily miss the playoffs.
not to say that nurse has much chance of doing this, but if he could step in and be a top 10-15 defender in the game, we make the dance

When I started this I saw some very good arguments for nurse at number 1 and he's damn close. If the Oilers had drafted Jack Eichel, Nurse would be number 1. But McDavid is too good. He's just too good. I couldn't find a way to knock him out of my top spot.

the guy is on a a level that im not sure ive ever seen from a prospect before. it certainly isn't easy to not put him at the top of any list involving junior players.
and im sure theres a ton of people that see it your way, and they wouldn't necessarily be wrong.

I just saw the words "most important" and despite the aforementioned, I really feel not only is darnell nurse our most important prospect, I believe him turning into what we hope is paramount to any real success the oilers might have going forward. and with that said, I think he might be the most important piece we have in the organization.

long shot I know, but I get visions of chris pronger and what he could do for this franchise.........

It's a compelling argument for Nurse at number 1.

If I was starting a team and got to pick any forward prospect and any D prospect I might very well go with mcdavid (no poop) and nurse.

Lots of options instead of Nurse but nothing astoundingly better. Jones is the same age but is too successful to be considered a prospect.

probably a little homer here, but I sorts like nurse going forward even more than jones.
not sure nurse has the offensive chops jones does, but darnell has that physicality and brutal mean streak that just cant be taught.
something the oilers could use desperately. especially in a top end skill position like we're hoping nurse becomes

I'd prefer jones too, but like I said, not in the nhl. Hanfin might end up being better than nurse too, but I love nurse
