Leafs are gonna be better than people give them credit for, mainly from the the coaching factor, their game will be a lot more structured this year. Just a guess.

In years past I would laugh at "news" regarding the Marlies' schedule, but this year hope will only reside at the Ricoh Centre - it won't be at the ACC.

I took my kids to the launch of the new Leafs kids' app on Saturday, and was given a voucher for 4 free Marlies tickets.

Go Marlies Go.

i'd be psyched if the Bruins AHL affiliate was right in Boston or close to it.

Funny you should say that...

A few years ago, my beer league team played at the Ricoh. I ended up chatting with a visiting equipment guy, who was setting up the room the night beforehand, as there was an 11 am game the next day.

He basically said that it doesn't bother the players too much, but the support staff absolutely hates it - everything needs to be done the night before, and then they have to wake up wickedly early to get everything going.

do the players get up early to get a pre-game meal and nap?

I doubt they would nap but I would assume they'd be up by at least 8 in order to have a pre game meal and get their routine started.

Gawd, they look bored out of their heads, and I don't blame them.

Yeah, it's for charity, but c'mon - if you were a professional hockey player, would you enjoy waiting tables for rich Bay Street types and their wives for some stupid dinner?

Waiters, they look like busboys.

"Hey busboy! a refill on the water please." and that why Bozak is making that face.
