He doesn't really fit in IMO. We have green and that's all we needed last year plus he added Moore so in a year where we should be worse I don't think it makes sense to send any pieces to Boston for a older defenseman no matter how solid of a player he is.

I think goaltending and overal team commitment to defense is more what has kept them from returning to greatness more so then it is rushing first overall picks into the league. I agree though there is little point unless his development jumps off in the next month or so and he absolutely deserves to be on the team but that's unlikely. It's not as if he blew anyone away in jr as far as I'm concerned that has a giant asterics beside it with the injuries and suspensions.

I completely agree that we are going about it better then Edm. from a positional standpoint (ie developing from the back up; cause it takes longer for players to develop in those areas). That said, Edm. has definitely mishandled a lot of their youngsters. How knows, maybe it is more the coach they had over just playing over there heads; however I don't want to take that risk. I think we should just give him his 9 games so he gets some NHL experience and then send him back. This way he can refine and adjust to a NA style in an environment better suited for developing.

Blackwood and team canada beat the Czechs 7-1 ( without zacha of course ) I didn't really get to see or hear anything on how blackwood played as it was all about the offense but nice to see him do what's expected!

Yeah I saw that but it was hardly about him and I knew from the score he only let in one I just didn't know how many saves he made don't think they showed a single Czech highlight lol
