With the Flyers depth growing, this is a big hire for the organization.

Gordon had good success in AHL, his NHL work has left a bit to be desired. Granted he had an awful roster with the Isles, but he was part of the staff in Toronto that seemed over matched. Read today the he handled the Leaf PP, which was solid during his time there.

Thanks Bill. Hard at work again, eh? It will be an interesting time for the Flyers, with the new management in place, and all the picks trying to make the big league. Times ahead may be tough, but it does bring some hope, and excitement for our future.
I hope that MDZ can be signed. I listened to an interview with him the other day, and he seems like a good guy that has learned some lessons along the way.
It will be interesting to watch Neuvirth in goal. I have watched him since his AHL days, and I am still not convinced that he can be a guy to be counted on. Time will tell though.

Are we sure that Gordon's brother's sister's hairdresser's cousin's best friend didn't go to school with one of Hextall's sons?

Hextall: "We're still in the review process for our AHL coach, and we won't comment further until we've carefully reviewed everything internally and made a decision. In other news, we've hired Scott Gordon as our AHL coach."

Here is a good question..... Who is ready first?

Morin or Oden 2.0

Pretty much the best way to sum up the franchise when you're the lone Phillie present at the all star game.

Morin at worst will be a 3rd pairing stiff. Embiid might never see the court.

I meant who will play in a pro game first?

I don't think Morin will see the ice for the Flyers this upcoming season.

Well, technically, the Phantoms are a pro team, so....

The Sixers made the right pick at #3 that year. Even with the setbacks, I still 100% believe that.

The entire plan is based on taking risks for true greatness, not settling for mediocre.

If the recovery goes as planned, as it did for a guy like Ilgauskas for example, I'd expect him to be on the court next year.

Papelbon seems like such a raging bumhole, I can't wait to actively root against whatever team trades for him.

Yes, you are right. I mean professional sports though. I wouldn't guarantee this Embiid ever plays an NBA game at this point.

I wouldn't take an unhealthy player regardless of potential. It's too much of a risk.
Do you think the Portland Trailblazers regret taking Sam Bowie?

I think he'll play at least a few NHL games. Injuries happen to the defense every year. Last season Coburn, MacDonald, Del Zotto, Grossmann and LSchenn all missed significant time from injuries.
