Would you guys trade Lack for our 2nd Rd pick ? I don't want Talbot or Lehner...Lack in my opinion is the best out of them. |

lack for 33? I would - anavar
Yup the 33rd...but I feel that Chiarelli wants Talbot, which I believe might be
Dubnyk part 2 with our pathetic D. Lack is an impressive goalie. |

From last blog on the suggestion of
Lack+ 23rd + Horvat for Duclair and 3rd overall.
Why?
We can get a future #1D and a top 6 winger for a spare goalie, late 1st and Horvat. I agree Horvat is a lot ot give up but we have to give something to get something. Plus there is Cassels or McCann that can take the 4th line c role this year. |

I'm not convinced Duclair will pan out as a top 6. I see him basically as a Higgins 2.0, someone people want on the 2nd line but doesnt have the finish to be there |

I see him develop into a Simmonds type. Maybe Kaptaan will call me out for making the comparison but I see Duclair of the same hustle and grit as Simmonds. |

sedins close to retirement you want to trade our only proven prospect at center?? Duclair is still a coin flip.. I'd rather keep Horvat and draft a defenceman with our first round pick |

I wont disagree with his hustle, but I dont see him with the finish or nastiness that Simmonds has. Duclair also reminds me a little of Colton Gillies |

Excellent time at the game yesterday. Proud to be Canadian. The crowd was awesome . They didn't do soccer chants but every time Canada did something positive , even clearing their own goal crease , the fans cheered |

I would do Vrbada for Pouliot as well as the trade with yotes to grab Hanifin. Defense builds champions. Hanifin, Tanev, Pouliot, Demko, Cassels, McCaan has the potential of being something substantial in 4-5 years. |

Duclair has better ppg at Jr then Simmonds had. Duclair had 7 points in 18GP in NHL whereas Simmonds had 23 points in 82gp. The pims are similar. I disagree with you that Duclair does not have the finish. |

I don't see Pens trading away their young D for fwd help. Pens are losing Erhoff+ Martin this summer and Letang with his health issues will be a huge concern for Pens. Plus acquiring a proven top 6 fwd would mean taking on salary and one of the ways to save money is have players on ELC. If anything I see a top 6 player for one of fwds and pick as the swap from Pens. |

Simmonds is not a skilled guy, but hes big and fearless. He gets the gritty goals, Duclair on the other hand isnt as big and when he was playing at the WJC's his goals were not of the skilled variety, just fast and power. I'm not a scout, I just think if you're getting power-type goals in Juniors, your scoring touch isnt likely to transfer well to the NHL. I look at Emerson Etem, high scoring Junior player that has more skill than Duclair but is still struggling to put it together at the NHL level |
