I still like Krug on the third pairing playing against the weaker opposition. He can be very effective there, and having him fresh for the powerplay doesn't hurt either.
Having said that, the B's may not have a choice but to give Krug a top 4 spot. Being against the cap sucks. |

I love his game, Plays much bigger than his size and is great on the power play. Not a top 4 guy in my opinion. I don't think defensively he will hold his own against teams top 6 or a teams top line. Great transition game option for the 3rd pairing. |

It's going to be tricky to work out his next contract. Krug is interesting. Is he a guy that you believe can be part of the future top power play unit? If so pay the man. Krug, Russell, spurgeon...I'm a big believer in these undersized guys being legitimate pieces |

he's getting 3.4 mil? 2 years in the bigs and getting 3.4 mil, how would he have faired in arbitration? seems like a lot of money for a PP specialist. Dont get me wrong, but I harp on this all the time, in a salary cap league, if you could have kept him at maybe 3 mil, every penny counts. I love the kid, and he's pretty good defensively, and has a good shot, but then again, if his shot is so good, why only 12 goals...
I i'm sure Dougies starting range is around 5, with also 2 years in, but he's bigger and a better defender, and a #1 pick so that ups his value... |

Chara Hamilton
Seidenberg Miller
McQuaid/Morrow Krug
I don't see a big problem with this. Depending on the kind of form Miller comes back into, I can barely remember the guy other than being a younger, faster Mcquaid. I don't know what the speculation is on Quaider being signed or not, but I liked Morrow enough to have him with the big club this year. Or trotman... |

Yeah, but are we really THAT worried that Hamilton won't return. I've read peoples' comments on here, and yeah, I understand the cap woes, but they aren't completely screwed with signing him. Worst comes to worst they have that 4 million that comes free at the beginning of the season too.. |
