I would see what you could get for him at the draft, along with another player. Time to dump some of these bad contracts, especially if you want to keep Lucic around beyond this year. Wouldn't be shocked though if Lucic and Smith are both gone by the trade deadline. Lucic has worn out his welcome with me with his lack of production and with his lack of aggression. Trade both of them.

Its going to be interesting to see the lines next year. New coach or not, Smith might only regain form playing with the bergy marchy line. It seemed to be the only line he looked semi comfortable on. Being on the top line is too much pressure for the kid at this point.

And for (frank) sake, if he misses any more empty net one-timers I might just hurl my xbox controller at my tv!

It could be worse. You could have a 4.9M healthy scratch

I feel like Eriksson was the #1 culprit of missing empty nets. Good choice with the Xbox though. I would recommend investing in the controller replacement plan from Best Buy!

Who's that? It could be worse... you could have a 7m healthy scratch as in Semin.

I'd be more concerned with the TV

Marchy is good at missing empty nets too

I think the controller would be fine actually, might have to replace the TV. Can we just deduct it from Reilly Smith's cap hit?

Still pisses me off that Smith was extended before Hamilton.

But on the bright side, Chia can bring his beloved "all star" veterans like kelly to EDM now.

Bringing in the Phaneuf. Trading a healthy scratch for the worlds second largest pilon. I guess that is an upgrade right?

Well we already have the biggest pylon in Ericsson so it can't get worse then that. I think Phaneuf would be fine on a good team though.

Ha! or you could just offer sheet him. Any amount over 6mil would force the B's to trade someone if they matched.
