Who do you guys see as your starter next year? Split between darling and Crawford, or is Crawford on his way out this off-season and do you roll with darling and raanta?

Explain to me how Saad does not get a penalty shot when he was hooked on the break-away?
Oh yea - McCauley. That guy has no business on the ice.

A lot of missed calls/non-calls both ways. But I agree with that non-penalty shot on Saad being a load of crapola.

Edited to add: Hmmmmm...looks like the "quote" feature isn't working?

The call that still baffles me is the one on Bickell in the first that resulted in a PP goal for Nashville.
If you make that call on a face-off then be prepared to make 50 more during the game. Sticks across bodies and interference occur on almost every face-off.

That’s “Playoff” Bryan Bickell, the one with DirecTV, the guy Hawk fans were hoping (if not praying) would show up.

He has. No, he’s not really scoring like he did in the previous two years’ playoffs, but he is a physical force, delivering a lot of huge hits that are having an effect and creating space and time for teammates.

Hopefully this continues, and it aids in making it easier to move his contract this summer.

Oh, he'll be gone this summer. Take that to the bank. And it looks like the quote feature is working again.

I noticed that you cannot quote the initial post from the blogger. Otherwise, it's fairly the same. Then again, I could be missing something?

At any rate, PM me what you think is wacky, and I'll pass it along to the person who handles that.

Two Words - Wes McCauley...the Hue Hollins of NHL officials where the Hawks are concerned.

Meanwhile Vermette easily played his best game as a Hawk last night. And hoping we see more of the Vermette/Bickell/Kane line up next. Of course Kane played almost every other shift as the game went on and as Sandus pointed out to me very early this morning that he led the Hawk forwards in ice time.

And I have to give some props to Rosy - 30 minutes last night and an assist on the Vermette goal.

Let's stop worrying about officiating.. Let's focus on the W. Officiating will be what it will be in the playoffs, I'm not trying to justify it but you'll drive yourself crazy complaining about it all the time.

The no penalty shot for Saad washes out the no call when Keith pulled a guy down from behind in game 1. Like JJ says these things even out over a series.

I don't like to sweep the officiating under the rug. Do you just let drug addicts continue to take drugs, alcoholics drink, politicians spend tax dollars? The more it is discussed, the sooner it will change. At least that is what I wouid hope for.

They will, however, whine about not having Fisher and Weber and that being the deciding factor as to why they are down 3-1 in this series. It started late last night reading multiple tweets as such.

Scott Darling is 3-0 in playoffs with a 1.05 goals-against average and .969 save percentage, stopping 127 of 131 shots. #Blackhawks

Good Omen: So after I got home yesterday from work I had the house to myself and decided to sit back in the FR and pull up videos of the 'Hawks playoff OT winners from the past several years:

Kane's 2010 cup winner,
Hoss 2010 in 1st round,
Ben Smith in 2011 vs the Nux to force a game-7,
Seabrook's OT vs Det in 2013,
Kane's 2OT vs LA in 2013,
Shaw's 3OT vs the B's in the '13 cup final and
Seabrook's OT also in the '13 cup final.
Then for good measure, 2 goals in 17 seconds!

That was about 2 hours before game-4 puck drop. Little did I know that game would also go into 3OT, ending at the 1 minute mark on a Seabrook slapshot from the deep slot from a Kaner (who else) feed, at 1:15am.

LETS GO HAWKS!

What is with the blogger for the other team? I'd say go there and read it but then he gets clicks credit. Suffice to say, "whoa is me, whoa is us, yadda, yadda, yadda". I can't even bring myself to give him the satisfaction of posting anything.

I sure hope that whoever is the 2nd round opponent, we don't have to deal with the same crap. What an inferiority complex.

"But Seabrook’s goal probably doesn’t happen without Bryan Bickell blotting out the sun in front of Pekka Rinne."

JJ - PLEASE, PLEASE tell me you are as fed up as I am with this PP. It's time to put #29 in front of the net (among other tweaks).

Why can't the Hawks have as much drive with the man advantage as they do 5-on-5. They lull themselves into a coma and give an irritated staredown when an opponent takes it away.

Nice linkage of addicts you have there. I agree. What I'd like to see happen is the league get back to the penalty calling post 2004-2005 lockout. They're always talking about increased offence. Well instead of screwing around with the parts of the game like size of the nets, they could open up play with the rules for penalties. I'm not saying have 15-20 PP's per game three years from now but if teams are going to get called for this stuff, they're going to ease up and the offence will naturally pick up. I don't know about you guys, but I see a notable difference from 2010 to now.
