It's too bad the league simply wouldn't allow ARI to forfeit the remaining games.

Not too surprised about Doan, he's been cheap-shotting players for years and everyone gives him a pass for being a great guy. Never figured that out.

I am a big Doan fan and I don't know if he's necessarily a dirty player, or just a really aggressive one. It's a fine line in the NHL where you need to play on the edge to be effective.

PLUS: The new sitcom from Netflix The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt I love sitcoms and there hasn't been a good one in a while. All the ones I used to like are canceled and you should probably watch this show. It's no Arrested Development, but it's pretty
funny.

I don't usually like delving into the Netflix shows they over-advertise and try to force down my throat, but I gave this one a quick watch because I like a good laugh from time to time. I thought it was mediocre overall, but the episode that guest starred Hank had the highlight scenes of the season. I was thoroughly amused by the "straight-coach" bit.

PLUS: Did you hear the X-Files are coming back? That is such great news. Although, I have to say, the last time they made a movie, it was weak because they didn't even mention the Alien Conspiracy, which, I don't know, I would figure that'd be all you'd really talk about if that happened? So hopefully they do this right. If they now what's good for them, they'll recruit me to write it.

I am terrified and thrilled at the same time; terrified because I don't have faith that they can masterfully put together 6 classic episodes that add to the legacy and wrap up some loose ends for the fans, and thrilled because it's friggen X-Files.

Best pre-Millennium show for me. I was and still am thoroughly obsessed with Mulder & Scully. Breaking Bad is my post-Millennium duh. Top 2 TV shows of my life so far.

Have you watched any of Dave's or Gill's other shows since then? Most notably Californication and The Fall? Opposite ends of the spectrum, but I really enjoyed both.

Lastly, I'd like to thank you for recommending that Australian girl's album and the TV show Utopia recently. The album had some of the best lyrics I have heard in awhile. My fav. tune was Pedestrian at Best. Very clever.

Utopia! I had never heard of it. I just watched the first episode last night. It blasted my mind and has the potential to be my new fav. I hope it maintains the awesomeness of the first ep.

I guess I have to say at least one thing about hockey in this reply. Hmmmmm. How about Chicago is in a wildcard spot! Bit surprising there.

Can't wait for playoffs. Let's do this!

How can it be a plus the Coyotes lost, but a minus the Leafs won? Pick a side...from a Yotes fans perspective, it's good the Leafs won!!!

I didn't make it to the episode with Hank yet, only watched maybe five. I just love the concept and the lead actress - I think she's great.

Glad you liked Courtney Barnett, she's amazing. But I never recommended Utopia, I haven't even heard of it until now. I'll check it out though.

I liked Californication, it has some patchy seasons, but Mulder is great in anything and I like stuff about writers. Also, Runkle is the greatest character of all time.

Never saw the Fall yet.

Crazy if Chicago is a wildcard. Also crazy? If the Islanders miss the Playoffs.

Weird, some other loudmouth blogger must have recommended it. Anyways, make sure you get the British Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Drama show and not the stupid US Reality show. They are both called the same thing.

Cheers.

I don't know what people expect tanking teams to do, start winning? If they could start winning they wouldn't be losing.

I was the biggest X-Files fan around before it completely fell apart. I think people aren't thinking it through to what a sad, self-paraodying trainwreck the redux is going to be. It's going to be painful watching people pretend to themselves that it's actually good.

Hey, why so negative?

Just the attempt is awesome and if its even slightly OK it's going to be worth celebrating.

The Leafs were honouring a young man who has it pretty damn tough - made the night about him, made him the first star of the game and beat their provincial rival with him in attendance. Plus to the Leafs and the G-Man!

I've read 3 of your articles now and the way you shoot down anyone who disagrees with you is unbelievable, and I realize by even making a comment like this I'm feeding into the exact point of which I'm making. Oh the irony.

Also, calling people self-righteous in a statement attempting to once again enlighten others of how right you are is quite ironic.

Whether I disagree or agree with you, that's just poor taste.

You've got me all wrong. I am complaining about price gouging, not beer prices. Also, yes those people petitioning a sports network because they don't like the host? They're worse than losers.

So what you're saying is that you would prefer to read a fence-sitting phony who pretends anything thought by anyone is about equal and who does his best to make sure that people know that even though he might not agree with them, their opinions are still valid and everyone can be friends and maybe hang out one night by the camp fire and sing Kumbaya?

Well, at the risk of hurting your feelings, I am going to have to say that you are making me sad. To be honest, most Maroon 5 fans can't take my style and that's OK.
