I understand whats going on and am fully supportive of it but I can't say I would ever go to a game and opennly cheer against my Sabres. To each thier own I guess.

For the first time in a long time the Sabres have a blue print. I'm very excited.

Amen. Boo your team when they deserve it, but don't insult the players by cheering for the opposition.

nice read

learn how to win a face off
learn how to run a pp
learn how to run a pk
learn how to get a quality shot on net
learn how to clear the front of your own net
learn how to back check
learn how to dig a puck out of the corner
learn how to make a pass and hit the player in stride
learn how to coach
learn how to not take stupid penalties
learn how to play hard for each shift til the end
learn how to work as a team instead of 5 individuals on the ice
learn how to get more then 3 shots on goal in the 3rd period of a 1 goal game

all of this could have been prevent and it's not just talent

some of the kids are in a bad situation, but for the most part it's a trend that started when briere and drury walked

in some ways these are the fall guys
in other ways it's still the following

learn how to win a face off
learn how to run a pp
learn how to run a pk
learn how to get a quality shot on net
learn how to clear the front of your own net
learn how to back check
learn how to dig a puck out of the corner

Just like when the players leave a team and tell the fans it's not about the money? That is insulting, so they will be ok.

Carried from last post:

The integrity folks don't recognize that Buffalo's players are playing with all the integrity they have, doing their best to win night in and night out.

And the GM is doing exactly what he should be doing - doing his best to ensure the longterm success of the franchise.

The reason that last night was so uncomfortable for me is because we have finally reached the tipping point of the entire season: we are getting very near to cementing what the franchise has set out to do for the last 20 months, and we always knew it would be "suffering" and we always knew it was unnatural in sports. And it's going to stare us in the face until we've gone ahead and done it.

And then, hopefully, we can get back to what all of us would far prefer to do, root for a winning successful team we really really like.

Eventhough my head says lose, everytime I watch a game I still get pissed when we lose. I can't wait until this season is over.

how is it any different then booing an american anthem at a game in canada when the home team has americans in their own line-up

when the habs booed the USA anthem in the playoff series

Higgins, Smolinski were Americans on that Hab team in the bruin series

IMO that was more disgraceful because your booing a country, not your team for years of pathetic play on the ice

just my 2 cents and not a dig at you, something that has been in my mind all morning

That's up to the individual. But for a Sabres' fan who's never been through this in the 45 years of the franchises' existence, it's something I'd rather not go through again

Wow - there's truly something that Sabres and Leafs fans can agree on.

As AGMDR put it so eloquently, our 'suffering' phase is almost complete.

Hopefully you're not looking for me to defend Habs fans. I'm more than happy to agree with you on that one.

no, like I said not a dig at you

just pointing out what I think is a bigger disgrace overall since the booing is the topic of the day
