FYI - It's not a tank when you add players and your team continues to suck. Lack of 1G or a top 2 Dman sure doesn't help.

I'd much rather reward a team that actually competes until the end and creates exciting entertainment for the fans, than a team who is flat out awful and seemingly tries to lose games.

Let's say, hypothetically, the LA Kings miss the playoffs this year and finish 9th, do you think they need the first overall pick?

Giving all teams not in the playoffs an equal chance is dumb, it shoudl only be the bottom handful of teams. They should maybe just work something out that reduces a teams chances if they have previously drafted first overall in the previous 3 years or so.

Thank you. Why in the hell would an organization purposely suck just for a CHANCE at getting a 1st overall pick. It's not that a team is tanking, it's that they lack the skill to compete against solid teams.

And a GM/coach that would "tank" would be in the hot seat and potentially lose their job.

Know what a big problem is? NTC and NMC's. How is a team, that is trying to improve, supposed to bring in top players that say "No" to going to that market?

Why would they want to make their team tank when they would probably get fired from their job and not even see those first overall players. I feel like them having a job is more important.
