Hmm...well James Duthie and the tsn panel all agreed this was one of if not the worst trade deadlines in a long time. Boring.

Your list of 20 teams is actually on 18. You've left out Colorado and Dallas.

I don't think montreal did that well? I would have ratehr seen them get a scoring winger and as Eck said a back up goalie..

This trade deadline took the other deadlines and put them out to pasture. This was a new paradigm on many levels.

In my mind the Rangers have to win the Cup. Have to. I don't want them to, but they have to. There is no other way their post season could go.

It's pointless to talk about this now, though. Just making the playoffs can change everything. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying if we make we'll win the cup. Oh cont-rare. I'm saying that a team like Nashville, Washington, Minnesota... they can be very dangerous. As far as we go, an appearance alone is worth grabbing Jagr. And by the way, Fleischman and Bergenheim were both UFA's at seasons end so.... we were losing them anyways. They were under-performing and we have prospects who are ready to be here now and contribute like Vincent Trocheck.

We're 2-0 with Jagr. 9 goals in those two games. He has a goal and an assist. 3 PPG's in those two games, and Huberdeau and Barkov seem elated to be playing with someone of Jagr's ilk. It's allowed Bjugstad to take some pressure off of himself which is helping him, and Brandon Pirri is finally back from injury scoring goals. If we make it, we could definitely be a scary team. Not a Cup team, but hey, the Kings weren't a cup team when they made it with the 8th seed, either.

yeah it was, but I don't remember as many of the "key" names being traded before the deadline as this year.

What do u expect from the Toronto sports network?
Next years cap uncertainty n lousy contracts handed out by GM's had an impact.

Dunno bout dat. Won't know for a while. Lots of teams that are going to disappoint.
4 good eastern teams will be out round 1. The west is a crap shoot. Playoffs should be great this year.

If you take into consideration the last month and not just yesterday, the jets did everything! They improved their team today, improved their locker room and improved their prospects and picks. Hands down the winner!
