If Murray makes one or two moves that'll be great. Hopefully Neil is traded and Gryba or Boro. Phillips isn't going ANYWHERE unfortunately. Hopefully Phillips retires.

Ya, but you free up roster spots for our prospects that we've all been hearing the organization rave over for the past few years and also saves money and we need to sign guys like Hoffman, Stone, Zibby and Ceci this summer to long term deals.

If the Sens pick up 4 more points in the next two games and are only 3 back come Thursday anything can happen...

Don't expect much today, sounds like Cameron convinced Murray to leave Condra alone.

They may make a minor league move.

Makes sense ,our depth players are worth more to us than some low round draft pick

Have you heard anything about a Dman being moved today? I'd like to see one of Gryba or Weircioch moved before the end of the day.

If we are dead-set on keeping Cowen, then I would trade Gryba.

Weircioch isn't the best, and I do think his advanced stats do tend to make him overrated in our market, but I still see his value and his potential upside. The Sens did a great job of getting pucks out of our end during the three games in Cali and PW helped a lot.

Also, just from pairing standpoint, it would be nice to have one puck-mover in each pairing.

All that said, I would ideally like to trade Phillips and keep all of Gryba, Cowen, Weir for at least one more year, but for some reason Murray feels loyalty to Phillips.

I had similar thoughts, if not just to make some room for some of the younger players in Bingo downt he road.

Going to be a quiet day in Sens-land. I'd like to see one of Boro, Gryba, Phillips, or Wiercioch moved to create some space on the roster, but I don't think any of those guys are hugely sought after.

I don't see Chaisson as a piece that will fit with us long term, His is an RFA. I think it would make sense to try and move him to get something for him. Even if it's a 6th rounder.

I have no issue with keeping Phillips at this point. Let him retire as a Sens either this year or next, he seems to realize that he's the teams #7 now.

Cowen I can see being moved during the summer though not today. Maybe in a package for a Top 6F.

I think they'll sign him a two year deal. Murray wont want to let him go so fast after giving up Spezza for him.

Nick Paul continues to look good sidenote.

There's bern interest but the return just is not worth it.

Isn't the return only part of it though?

Freeing up a roster spot is likely to happen somepoint soon at least so one of Wideman or Claesson have a spot next season.

Would they not want to trade someone to not have 8D on the roster next year though? Not to mention Weircioch is making 2.7M next year you'd think they would want to trade him away as that's a big price tag for a guy who's a healthy scratch, especially for a budget team.

A 150th - 180th pick for Chiasson..?

Is he going to cost a lot to resign ? No he's not..

Should they keep him over Legwand, Michalek, Z. Smith, Greening, Neil ? Yes, yes they should.

Could still move him at the draft ,also teams will know what the cap is set at .A cheap defenseman could net a bigger return then

Everybody has seen Chaisson play this year right? He doesn't have a place in this franchise. We have Ryan, Hoffman, Stone, Macarthur all as top 6 forwards going forward. Chiasson would fall into the bottom half of the line up. He doesn't have great tools. Signing him in the summer would create yet another overpaid underachieving player on this team. We got into that issue with our log jam on defence with mediocre guys. Let's not start that with our forwards. I'll eat my crow of course if we sign him and he becomes a 40+ point guy like we thought we were getting in the Spezza trade.

We all want to get rid of Legwand, Michalek, Greening, and Neil, but people need to wake up and realize no one wants them. Have to think realistically.

Chiasson hasn't had a great year by any means, but he's certainly shown some flashes- and let's not forget, he's still very young.

He definitely has more value than a 6th round pick, but I do see how he is kind of redundant on our roster at this point.
