He wasnt that great. We gave him his second chance. A long wait to find out he will never live up to his first round status. Servicable 3rd liner.

He's a solid depth guy. Took too much crap for lack of offense based on prior convictions stemming from expectations out of junior. He's adjusted nicely from an offensive star to a hard working bottom six guy. If the Rangers use him as a third line winger or 4C he'll excel and contribute well to your Cup run.

Agreed. He grew on me and it's disappointing to see him leave. He's a hard worker and I hope he has a stellar career.

Still shocked at the 4th rounder. I would have expected at least a 3rd maybe a prospect but this has the signs of fire sale.

Feels like we got jipped. Only a 4th round pick....for next year's draft??? I'd be okay with that if they took Hannan in the deal too (actually, I'd be fine if they took Hannan and kept the draft pick.)

I think the fourth is a reflection of all the top teams shelling out pick after pick already. The 3rd's are in play for players with potentially more impact to a playoff run than Sheppard. It's probably a case where there wasn't much interest in the player and they took what they could get while they could get it instead of letting him walk for nothing July 1st.

That makes sense and I would probably do the same if I had the month that the Sharks just had.

I can see Sheppard scoring a big goal or two this year in the playoffs. He has to be pumped to be going.

TSN reported McGinn was claimed off waivers by Arizona.

McGinn is horrible, but it still sucks that he's not even going to be in the AHL considering DW gave up a 3rd pick in the deepest draft in years to get him. Wilson is a joke.
