Just on par with the rest of this season...#Cuse spells Roosevelt Bouie's name wrong on his jersey retirement...

Who says? Link?

If they want to move the other first, it just has to be understood and worded that the Lanche get the better of the two lowest picks. It's not rocket science.

I believe the NHL says that. If you've noticed Im not the only one who has expressed this sentiment.

That doesn't make it true. No offense.

Kane will score 40 goals next year. Then he will do okay after that and then score 40-50 again before he becomes a UFA.

Then he will get his wish and sign with Vegas! The man loves Las Vegas.

I agree i go to about 90% of the amerk home games and when he was with Armia the two showed something buffalo hasnt had in a long time..Patience. IMO the most important trait.. our possession numbers are awful. I love schaller but he's another north south guy. With armia gone for kane (honestly a great hockey trade for both sides) Grigo is our only pure offensive talent down there. Kids been all over the place, let him settle in and if he improves as much a last summer we may be impressed. Also the competition for those top 9 spots will be intense next year.

I see McCabe as a poor mans ryan mcdonagh, Great in both zones but keeps it simple and isn't flashy. Pysyk is another patience player that can control the temp and has an impressive transition game. 3-4 guy.

Conclusion: ROR is a great player but honestly with Zads and Risto up already our D depth isn't outstanding Pysyk and McCabe will be solid NHL guys and with the competition it's grigo spot to lose he got the talent .

I didn't want Myers traded...
But man, Bogosian is making me not miss him at all.
I know it's only been 3 games,
But I'm baffled at how Winnipeg even considered moving him.
He's playing at a top pair level IMO
He's been great

On the ROR talk and the Grigorenko, Pysyk or McCabe, and other late 1st going to Colorado for ROR potential, I don't like it for multiple reasons.

Grigorenko is not one of those reasons. His skating is probably never going to get above barely acceptable NHL standars, and for that reason I have zero issue dealing him.

I am not dealing either Pysyk or McCabe for anyone except a bonafide top line wing or center such as Hall or someone like him. The other Sabres D depth is at least 2 years away, if not more (Brycen Martin, Anthony Florentino, etc.).

I also would hold on to both 1st round picks they have left with dear life. This is not a draft to be selling off 1st round picks. I wouldn't have included one in the Jets deal, almost no matter what. Keeping two 1st's this year is paramount, along with keeping their own 2nd round pick. Unless they can add a 1st they receive in a deal for Stewart, if that ever happened, I would consider it, but even then I would likely just keep all the 1st round picks I have and use them myself.

Finally, and most importantly, there is the contract.

What would I do? I wouldn't trade for ROR. I would try to sign him when he is a FA and leave it at that.

With Grigorenko, if I absolutely had to trade him, I would include him in the deal with Stewart and try to enhance the return, meaning at least a 1st coming back along with something else, otherwise I'd play Grigorenko next year and see what they have. Sure, he may play badly, but if he does, it's ok if the team deals him for less after they have a better idea what they have.

Finally, for the persons that mentioned they wouldn't have a problem getting rid of the Sabres 1st in 2016, there is NO WAY I do that. Zero chance.

With the way the draft is going to happen in 2016, and the incredibly strong chance Buffalo is not making the playoffs, they could easily get a top 3 pick, and if not, still likely have a top 10 pick.

pommiville is a better player than ror and was not a headache and was willing to resign with Minnesota and he was only traded for a grade b prospect a long shot of a goalie and a mid level 1st.
