I'd hire Nolan in a second. He'd get torn to pieces by the TO media, but that's because they are idiots, not because he isn't a great coach.

I agree with this statement. It is tough. I feel they have had strong dialogue between Murray and Nolan about what they are getting out of him and the team this year. As 89 or someone like that said, they believe or have a hunch that Nolan may be going upstairs next year for a different role.

yeah...and that would be a pretty good reward for going through all of the crap the past year or so...luke Richardson may be the name to watch...wonder if murray would bring him to Rochester on a lateral move if Nolan's behind the sabres bench next season?

Good read,

You should be taking Garth's spot up there, your blogs are actual blogs and you give good analysis and opinions. Oh and it looks like you actually watch the sabres game.

I have a question regarding Myers. Is he worth keeping for the long run? Haven't watched him play that much but it seems to me like if your rebuilding, you might want to hang on to a giant defenseman ala Chara.

This rebuild could on for 2-3 years, having Myers at 28 in his best form could be well worth it.

I think you and everyone else here knows how I feel about that question Mike.

I'd like to see Teddy given an honest opportunity to coach a roster that is not being set up for failure.

If he can't deliver next year, then I am all for giving Teddy the old heave - ho.

By the way, thank you the read Mike.

thx...jeepers

the great myers debate is greater than nature vs. nurture...at one point it looked as if he would be a franchise, #1 d-man...potential's slipping away with every year and he could be looked at as a strong, all-around, puck-moving d-man that could be slotted anywhere from #2-4...his cap-hit in any of those spots is at best fantastic, at worst well within range...

murray seems to really like him so it will take a huge offer for him to get moved

I just wanted to know if anyone had any pertinent information on Samuels-Thomas, Jordan.

I actually had forgotten about this guy.

I remember a few posters here that were excited about him.

Anyone have any kind of update on him?

That wasn't me but they picked Nolan, they didn't have to but they did. Everyone knew going in how bad this season was going to be, so I don't know why people want Nolan fired. Gotta give him time just like gotta give Murray time to build this, with last year's draft and this one coming up and what they will add with FA, next year will be different. We hope.
