I haven't watched much of the Leafs so forgive my ignorance, but how good is Franson in relation to other D-Men? The reason I ask is it seemed like last year he wasn't very popular , has he made gains this year?
Is he a legit top D on decent teams with a solid partner? Can he carry the load on a mediocre team?

Yep, thats Therrien's system. Show up and play well about once every week or two while stinking it up the rest of the time and relying on Price.

Franson is slow, only really good on the PP,and that's a stretch at times.

If you pair him with a Victor Hedman or a Shea Weber type of player. Pair him with a Karlsson, Subban, or Letang and let's say it'll be fun for the other team's fans to watch.

Good man, just watching the Habs game, and waiting for the neighbor's super bowl party, and I don't even like football.

I think Franson is misused on the Leafs. He has a great point shot and should be firing bombs from the point constantly! When the Leafs had that great run against Boston that's what was happening..........Orr was hammering Chara and the D were firing bombs from the point.

I'm not a huge fan either, but someone gave me Drew Bledsoe jersey in like 1999 or something so I go to Super Bowl parties when the Pats are in it and pretend to be a lifelong fan.

So I quit my job, sold my house and am going to spend March , April and May in Asia....other than that same old same old.

I agree with you but who is going to pass to him? Neon Dion? He's too busy wondering how he's going to miss the net 5 feet wide and 5 feet high and then doing it.
