Nice recap but what is with the Swedish Roast. I think Lindstrom has filled in okay and he has nice offensive flair when he has been called upon. |

Lindstrom is soft as butter, doesn't have the speed or IQ to be an effective offensive player in this league. He's also 31. He is what he is, and that's not an effective NHL forward. |

Man that was absultely the best game recap/blog you have done Randal. That was a great job man. That was a great read. Very impressed.
I would agree all around.
There are a few things I think happened to Berglund but my guess is dislocated shoulder. It depends on any tears and how much you want to rest it and build up strength. I would guess one week minimum and that is rushing it. More likely two to four weeks deoending if there was any tears. One thought was his back but it did not seem like it and the other was a broken arm.
Lehtera tweaked his neck most likely. Could havehad a minor concussion as well but his neck looked to take too much. That is tricky. We know some guys went to neck specialists when they were concussed some belief that if the neck isn't right you are more more vulnerable to concussions. I honestly do not know much more than the superficials on those type of things.
Man Reaves looked fast again and that is a good sign.
I completely agree about Lidstrom versis McRae or Rattie. But I would say Lidstrom is not horrible just loses puck battles. Also do not forget Magnus is a deoth forward on this team maybe he gets his nearly last or final chance? |

He has the soeed, the IQ is there but has not caught up to the NHL pace. It is his strength on puck that is the problem. In all honesty in his first NHL duty in Colorado and Columbus I never realized his speed. But he plays to the perimeter and loses pucks battles and cannot cycle. His decision making is a smidge off the pace but that is not his hockey iq just I think his habits from a softer league and bigger ice surface. |

I can see how he does well in lesser leagues. He's got the basic skills but there's nothing about his game that stands out at the NHL level. On that I agree with Ritchie, at his age he is what he is.
Goc is going to fit nicely under Hitchcock. Just in time because they're going to need him to eat up some minutes.
The way Lehtera went down, looked like it could be a shoulder as well. Could be a blessing in disguise though, he's a guy who could use a few weeks off to recharge. A long playoff run on top of the regular season would be way more games than he's ever played. Berglund to me looked like he was protecting his ribs afterward. I never saw a good view of the play though. |

Hes no replacement for what we lost though.
Im not sure on mcRae either at this level. Id love to see Rattie out there though. |

Depending on where they'll put these guys. If Berglund is down, give me McRae. If Lehtera is out, let's see Rattie.
I'd not want to have Rattie called up and stuck with checkers, I'd rather have McRae in that role.
I kinda think Berglund is going to be out a while. |

Rattie doesn't have the same skill set as Lehtera or Berglund so I don't think hell make the call up. I do like the idea of letting McRae and Goc center the 3rd/4th lines and moving Statsny to Tarasenko's line. My guess is Ott will get some time there as well and Lindstrom will play in Berglund's spot. |

Wow haha I guess I was wrong. I can see him filling Bergdog's place and maybe Goc or Ott centering the 3rd line. Who's going to fill in on the 4th then? Or maybe Lehtera injury isn't as bad as Bergs? |

I would think Rattie will fill a spot on the 3rd and stastny would go fill in for Lehtera.
The way Hitch is with the lines, Rattie could be with Oshie and Backes by the time the nights over. |

No I agree with Randal but to say he does not have speed or hockey iq is incorrect. He does not have strength and he is a tick below processing the nhl speed of the game. If he was closer to Sobotka's strength on puck he would be a everyday player producing. |

McRae has never looked terrible at the NHL level so I do not see a concern there. It was I think hoped he would be a scorer and they wanted to season him. He looks more like a player who's ceiling is third line but most likely a fourth liner. |

Considering McRae is a center and has scored only three less goals than Rattie.... |

They are a lot better team than their record or pundits would have you think.
They had major lng term injuries.
They have some very good young players getting experience. They are weakest in net at five on five but the injuries might have something to do with those stats. |

I think that is the case. Maybe Lehtera sits one game if at all. |

Unbelievable how much of a difference Jordan Staal makes. When he and Eric are on the ice together they can dominate opponents at both ends of the ice.
Plus, Faulk is really quietly turning into a force on the blueline, and he won't turn 25 until 2017. |

Yeah I'm definitely hoping for that. Berglund has played pretty strong as far as possession goes, but all he usually does is cycle the puck. He can be replaced way easier than Lehtera. The good news is neither are on IR yet.... |
