I'm not expecting the Preds to win tonight. They haven't been great away from home, as Paul mentions. But I am hoping maybe they can keep it close & get a point. I think that would be a great result for the team. Especially if Nashville could push it to a shootout & keep St. Louis from getting a ROW.

My prediction is 4-3 Blues. I hope thats an OT or SO score!

PS:
I've heard Pekka may play as early as the Penguins game. That would be crazy quick to return - but if he's healthy, I'm not complaining. The one I wonder about is Ellis. The Preds have shown some uneven play on Defense since he's been out.

Couldn't agree with you more regarding more divisional games later in the season. That being said, STL-CHI plays twice in the final week of the season. It would be pretty cool to throw a couple of STL-NAS games in there as well. It should be fun tonight. Go Blues! And just a warning....... any Preds fans coming to the Scottrade Center might want to dress in their most redneck clothes possible. The Michael Brown protestors will leave you alone for sure!

While I agree with Paul about wanting to see more games vs. the Blues and Hawks the final couple of weeks, you have to remember that we were a 6th place team in the division last year. The league probably scheduled games vs. teams that made the playoffs in the division vs. each other than vs. non-playoff teams. That is why the Hawks and Blues play each other twice in the final weeks of the season. I bet you next season we will see the Hawks and Blues twice each in the last month of the season.

Excellent point, but I would like a closer to round robin within the division for that last month.

That's not a bad idea. In some ways, I would almost prefer the games against division opponents to be evenly spread through the whole year. That way, injuries can kind of even out, etc. Either way - every team should have to play all the teams in their division at least once during March & April.

If that was the case then why was our final home game last season against the Hawks? We were out of the playoffs the year before that.

Just to be trite, but tonight is also the second of a three in four nights for the Preds (Tues/Thurs/Fri). In fact, we have five more of these 4 in 6 nights remaining AFTER this set! Grueling. Even with Peks back, Hutton will see lots more action this year, I think.

I can't wait until Ellis comes back! Does anyone know what his injury is?
