Used to be 20 seconds after blog poster to be 1sssssttttttt

Now its 20 minutes.......

Hawks will probably start cranking it up now . January has been bad to the Hawks before.
As long as there is no significant injuries theHawks should begin to roll starting tomorrow night.

Agreed they usually get into a funk around the holiday season. This is when they can re establish themselves as a legitmate cup contender. Here is hoping they kick it into a higher gear and start rolling once again!

Oh yeah by the way Second!!!

Im all for 6 points in Cali. Just as important, it is time to get the Jet (Hutchinson) out of the Hawks offensive heads. The Minny game is set up to be one that could get away.

I'll be at the MN game. Nothing like dealing with puffed up Wild fans all full of themselves. I love the twenty questions trying/challenging your hockey knowledge the moment you sit down with another team's sweater (happens to me every time and saw it happen to a poor sap wearing a Detroit sweater a few years ago).

Hawks better win.

Crazy scheduling. Seven in a row and on the road followed by an eight game home stand. I understand multi use venues but this years schedule is beyond ridiculous. Time to sever ties with either the circus or the ice show. That being said, a .500 road trip would be acceptable.

The key is to follow it up with a dominant home stand. These next 14 games will be huge and set the tone for the rest of the season. As an understatement, should be interesting to say the least.

If the circus and ice show make money for Wirtz and Reinsdorf they ain't going anywhere.

That being said, this years schedule is goofier than most years.

The Circus being at the UC can't be a decision dictated by money, the ice shows do better but....Neither generates the revenue of playoff games.

Long standing commitments that will be adjusted at some point...

Difficult schedule and especially so because 8 game home stands are problematic too...

A ridiculous schedule is what the Sharks had to deal with - 16 of their first 21 games on the road. Wonder who the idiot was that signed up for that?

I wonder how much more interesting the Sharks schedule gets for next season? Unless they find another city to park their AHL club in, both clubs are supposed to be sharing the building.

The Cow Palace was the home of the Oakland Seals for quite awhile. Maybe that dump is still standing and they can use that.

Yeah but those Kelly green and gold jerseys were a classic. Loved the white skates as well. Allegedly, so much white polish applied to them to cover scuff and puck marks, they literally weighed pounds by the end of the year. Had to do wonders for the foot speed of poor teams.

Oh for the crazy world of Charlie Finley.

Lapierre off to Eastern conference. Good riddance, but Blues got Goc. What a steal for St Louis

Lapierre being out of the division is a benefit for the Hawks.

I still trust the Hawks but it looks like their loss to the Ducks in getting Kesler before the season even started might really bite them in the ass , plus the Ducks have $ to add another piece . I fear the Duck .

They better add another piece if they wanna have a chance against us in the playoffs(assuming we even meet), based off what iv seen from them against us in 2 games so far. As far as Kesler goes they could afford him, and we couldn't, not without giving up other pieces to add another large contract. Richards has been very productive at a much cheaper price, and we still have Sharp, so i think we made the right move.

I'm not even thinking that far. When the playoffs come, there are two divisional opponents to dispatch first. As it sits now, that could be two of Winnipeg, Nashville, and St. Louis. All three are going to possibly be tough matches.

How so? Lapierre sucks and Goc doesn't. The Blues getting better is not a benefit in my world.

Lets be respectful - they were the California Golden Seals.

And I think before the white skates they had green and gold ones to match the Oakland A's colors

they both kind of suck. Goc was a decent player. He isn't anymore. Unless you are worried about that .16PPG Goc is sporting these days?
