Couldn't one argue that Lavy might have done this to rile up his team? Much in the same way you mention how Pat Burns would wink at you as a indication his diatribe was more for his players and not you?

No, because Burnsie was hollering about his team not getting the calls (for their behalf) while Lavy made it about himself and feeling like he was mocked. It wasn't about the Predators. It was about Peter.

Are you sure? I mean, I can see how a coach would become agitated if he felt there was some potential collusion or something going on. I get your point from reading your article Paul, well done, but I do also see Peter's take on it, and why he'd freak.

If anything, it speaks to the passion and drive to win that Lavy exudes. At least, that's how I feel personally. If anything, it makes for great TV. The NHL is severely lacking behind the NFL and the NBA with its marketing, it's characters, and all-access type shows like the one this clip is from. More of this NHL, MORE!!!

I don't often comment but I almost always read your blogs. Love the insight and behind the scenes stuff from someone that's been involved in so many roles. Keep up the great work.

I have to disagree with you on this one Paul. I watched that game and personally I thought Lavy had every right to be pissed. It looked like the ref was mocking Peter and he has no right to do that in my opinon. I would have reacted the same way.
