Why can't they play with this emotion every night?

As a player, having the fans being active as they were. Why wouldn't you want that at every home game?

The hit seemed less severe than the one that got Orlov two games last season, but Rinaldo is a repeat offender. The NBC commentators flat out lying and saying it was square in the numbers when you can see Letang's #5 the whole time amused me.

"They were loving it. I think we just have to get those four days [during the All-Star break] and come back to this kind of game.”

Bellemare.

Absolutely correct. That is how they need to play, and be willing to engage in some of the extra curricular stuff. Initiate not retaliate. This team has for years played better when they allow themselves to step away from some moronic machine approach to the game.

Stop fearing taking a penalty, and take the leash off. For the first time in a long time, I was entertained. That level of intensity doesn't need to happen every game, but something similar should be entrenched into a team wide culture.

It was fun, and for this rag tag crew that was probably the most fun they have had all year. I never doubt the heart of the majority of this team, the skill level sure, but they did not assemble themselves.

Unleash them every game, and play to win. Not scared to win. Scared to take a penalty call. Good show.

I don't care how hard Rinaldo works and how hard he says he wants to improve, he's an idiot. He's not a NHL caliber player, he's unable to control himself and quite frankly his idiotic comments after the game, joking or not, will do little to reduce the giant bullseye he's painted on his own back.

He's an embarrassment.

i dont know if that kind of intensity is sustainable for a full 82 games. but yeah. some games theyre very far from that.

this state has hockey mental issues covered, thats for sure.

Zac Rinaldo will have an in-person hearing with the NHL, team source says.

Five or more for Mr Rinaldo, probably going to be out until at least February 10th

Terrible hit. Was staring at the numbers all the way as he approached and then left his feet to launch into the hit.

i think the punishment should be that he needs to skate on giroux's and jake's line for the rest of the season.

I wonder if his idiotic comments after the game played a role in the speed in which the DoPS decided to act.

Regardless of whether he was joking or not, the comments were idiotic.

I'd like to see the Flyers jettison him.

For all the uproar, I really expected more from this hit...

It was a stupid play, his teammates should be mad, but I thought I'd be seeing a flying elbow into Letang's skull or something. (was trying to catch up on some Homeland...I stupidly assumed the lifeless Flyers were going to be in the building again tonight.)

Edit: Hopefully Letang is ok, just a little woozy, no concussion.

How about VDV with his 6th on the season? Him and Bellemare should be back next, solid 4th line...and hopefully they get better on the PK, or a better system.

That was a great redirection. Pretty goal.

I doubt his scoring run is sustainable(shooting like 43% over the past few weeks) but he's been a solid player for the Flyers

Yup. Any goals from those guys are gravy. But it looks like they have some good chemistry and above average 4th line talent.
