Just asking,

does buffalo have any up-in-coming G prospect? If not, shouldn't u guys resign Enroth instead?

OK....now that I read it, good read, as always. And I agree, there comes a point where we can only have so many 19-22 year olds. I wonder if murray included a pick with a few of our UFA's, if that could land guys playing in the minors or even with a year or two of NHL experience? If we have plenty of picks, may be we should get a few/give a few?
The other thing is that we have about nine players to make up a 4th line with going forward with the rebuild. Plenty of pieces I would have no problem with keeping. I'm really curious to see who fills in the 3rd. I think if things went according to plan, we could have a monster of a 3rd line center in Girgensons. But would his current wingers trickle down to the 3rd with him? Or would we want more physical wingers with him?

nobody that will be ready next season.. they have Hackett, enroth and neuvirth one or two can be traded and we can sign a FA.. in the system most are probably 3 seasons away if ever.. I think the best chance of having a goalie anytime soon it is an inconsistent Makarov.

I've said it before on many occasions, Murray is asking to much for players and it will hurt us in the end. We don't need anymore picks correct however, we can get a player or 2 for certain players we have. Asking price for Myers is high and it damn well should be but like I posted yesterday about Myers and being traded, " Not Yet " was what I got back. Not saying he is or isn't getting moved.

I think considering this, they should hang on to Enroth.
I doubt he would require a huge raise and he's "adequate" at what he does.
Neuvirth and hackett's sample size is too small to gamble on dealing Enroth.

So if that's the case, why trade Enroth, personally he's a good fit until the team finds its future G

methinks one of enroth or neuvirth will get traded and they'll re-sign the other...fyi, enroth is a Regier pick while murray traded for neuvirth

I'm sure Murray is listening but unless you get a " HALL " type player back or Hall himself, why move him? makes no sense. You can build around Myers IMO but you can't just find a Hall type player or a Myers type without giving up to get.

I see them flipping Enroth to Minnesota for Dubnyk because we don't want the draft picks, then Dubnyk starts the rest of our games and we crash like he did for Edmonton.

Good ones are and believe that not many good G's will be FA? The list looks pretty crappy......

The worst thing that happened to the Sabres is Perron getting the haul he did. Rutherford set the bar at a price that most GM's don't seem to be willing to go for.
