Nice read Ty, I want to believe this kid is the answer to the Luc-Krejc combo, I really want to believe they don't need to make a big impact trades now, I really do, but is that realistic ? They look like a Team that wants to play for each other now. |

Send him down so he can compete with McDavid for the Calder next year.
Kidding, we kind of need him right now. |

I wanted Detroit to draft him so bad. Fell in love with how he plays during last years WJC. |

I think he's made the choice easy. Just give him some nights off here and there to rest him. |

I don't see how any trade option out there is going to be an upgrade, and the talent we'll be shipping off to get that player will be steep. |

Talent (Spooner, Koko, Subban, or Morrow) OR picks ( super deep draft this year......our first and TWO seconds should be off limits)....
We NEED to restock our prospect pool at FORWARD.
Unless a big time upgrade is available for one or more of the above named prospects AND a roster player......smith, Marchand, Lucic, Ericksson, Kelly, Campbell.....even Solderberg if there is a good return.
If not then no way......
Stupid to trade away high picks and our few prospects for a Stewart (Buf) or Kassian (Van)..........maybe a 3rd or later and a lesser prospect..... then take a chance.
Even Ericksson for T.J. Oshie is a SUPER stupid trde........a two way player with great Corsi/possession (facts to support your eyes) that has scord 30 goals a few times and averages around 30......
FOR
T.J. Oshie........a winger that rides with Backes (a Bergy type player) that has scored 20 ONCE and 18 another time........
Why is that a silly trade..........Oshie is also only ONE year younger.
Dumb VALUE for VALUE trade.[/img] |

100% agree with everything you said. I would like to be able to move out a veteran or two, but it will be tough. I actually think a lot of the youngsters we have in Providence should get a shot. That would certainly ease our cap woes. If we could ship off any of Kelly, Seidenberg, McQuaid, Bartkowski, Paille and Campbell for decent picks, I say do it. Let Spooner, KoKo, Morrow, Trotman, Griffith, Cunningham et al have a shot.
If some of the above can happen, we might have cap space to sign Soderberg long term along with Krug and Smith. |

Would like to see us pull a couple of players out of the USHL and let them develop in college. I agree we need more forward prospects, would be nice to get at least one blue chip D man that we can develop as well.
There is a kid, Jordan Greenway (forward), projected to go somewhere between our first rounder and the first of our second rounders. Looks like a boston player. |

So you want to trade away Quaider and Seids, as of now our #2 & #4 defenceman ???
and you want Trotman and Morrow fill in those spots

Small, weak, does not work hard enough. Bad draft choice. Trade or waive. |

Calgary likes small forwards. Send him there for a pick (or whatever you can get). Six pack works just fine. |

Is it a lot to ask an 18 y/o to be our top scorer? Hell yeah, but its our best option. It makes our forward group set. I'd love to see an upgrade to the D now, specifically I think they should target Petry. Spooner Bart 3rd for Petry?
Chara Hamilton
Seids Petry
Krug Mcquaid
Morrow Miller |

Hey if Pasty fills that need then they have hit the jackpot, THAT would be huge, maybe he's that spark that makes eveyone play better, whatever works,
HOWEVER, Petry over Quaider ??? and losing prospects in the trade |

Petry's a very good d man. Once out of the abyss that is Edm people will realize that. His mobility/puck moving makes him a better top 4, and he's not not physical. He's like 6'4", and I think he'd be more inclined to get physical for the B's than the oilers. Its nothing against McQuaid, I love that guy and he's got my vote as 7th player for this season.
Bart and Spooner are not important to me. Don't see either having a future with the B's. And Id be willing to bet after spending years in Edm, Petry would be willing to sign a pretty reasonable extension with Boston when he realized how much better it was here |

I agree with some of the other posters here. The Bruins need to go grab a #4 D-man if possible. Having McQuaid in your top 4 is bad news.
I'm in the minority here but I'm not ready to give up on Bartkowski just yet.
I also think Krug needs a game or 2 on the 9th floor to watch and learn about d-zone play. That pair of Krug and Miller can be brutal at times. |

I think Mcquaid would cover a lot of Krugs deficiencies. Krugs not terrible defensively but needs help and right now Miller isn't helping. McQuaid is an awesome d man just a half step slow to be top 4 |

I think so. Need to trade him while he is showing the slightest bit of hockey relevance. If Arizona can get a 3rd for Dubby, we should be able to get something for Caron. ANYTHING |
