John Jaeckel: TT Arrives Just In Time
- John Jaeckel

First. Go Hawks!

Great piece, JJ. Summarizes well what TT is in this circumstance. Hope the kid develops like Forsberg with the Preds who was called a perimeter player only who shied from contact when the Caps traded him for Erat.

Can't hurt TT to observe players like Kane (working through the physical contact) and the work ethic and defensive example of a Hossa.

It all starts with 3 goals and 2 assists in his debut against Dallas....it will end with a Calder and then a Conn Smythe as he tears it up through the playoffs. Prepare to witness the greatest player there ever was or will be, the immortal Teuvo Teravainen is finally here!!

....No but seriously i hope he at least holds his own and gets some experience, we'll be fine without Versteeg for a month or whatever he needs to heal that hand. Excited to see how/where TT fits in.

More likely, {Teravainen} gets a 4-6 game look, playing somewhere, some wing, some center, on the top 3 lines. He might also sit for a night or two.
- John Jaeckel

This looks to be what I would expect to happen with Teravainen's call up. He's starting to show glimpses of what he can be in Rockford, but he still has a ways to go before he's ready to stick in the NHL.

YEAAAAAAAA BOYYYYYYYYYYYY

LOL , but looking forward to him playing regular minutes to see what he can do feeding superstars the puck . TT does have elite vision right now , lets hope he holds his own on D .

Who do you put TT you there with ?

Should be a lot of fun .

Any word on the severity of Versteeg's hand injury? ESPN says DTD, but I'm thinking more like week to week.

Good write up and you are correct about TT. Let's see what he can add but he is still a prospect and needs time to develop.

So, #Blackhawks lines: Saad-Toews-Hossa; Sharp-Richards-Kane; Bickell-Kruger-Shaw; Carcillo or Nordstrom-Terevainen-Smith

Don't like that , Carcillo should sit and Nordstrom go back on the 4th with Smith and Kruger .TT between Bickel and Shaw , lot of protection and both can shoot the puck ,

That is what they did to him in the Rock, perhaps a little of the earn some respect from the players that are here already.Character building for TT and not pissing off guys who have earned their spot.

No pressure on that line. Hopefully TT is ready to skate because Carcillo is rarely where he is suppose to be in his own zone. At least he won't have to skate all over his own zone trying to cover for both Bickell and Carcillo like Shaw did.

When Saad got his call up during the last CUP run he didn't have much to show for it the first 10 or say games points wise...but he was defensively responsible...I'm going with a guess that as long as TT is responsible defensively he'll get pretty decent playing time...and from what I have read what Dent said is that at least TT has been pretty good defensively in the AHL

The real comparison of players needs to be Nordstom and Carcillo not TT and Carcillo
TT replaces Versteeg for the 4-5 weeks he is out.
Who replaces Carcillo?

Yeah that's why i figure you'll see Carcillo dressed every game TT is.

Versteeg is gone for six weeks and this is the guy most were sending away in the summer, and now they are lamenting his absences, you gotta love it.

If you're gonna gloat about how wrong people were about Versteeg last summer, you should also recognize those of us who correctly stated often, last spring and summer, that we should wait and see how he played after his knee was completely rehabbed and he had a chance to play healthy.

Also, Kuc is reporting that "Nordstrom is expected to be in the line-up in place of...Carcillo".

Bummer for Steeger - having a great year...3rd on the team in points...Q said about a month/surgery doubtful. Thankfully its not lower body he's been through enough with that recently.

So TT gets a look now and we'll see how he does.

Really like Nordstrom's game - in the limited time he's been up he's what third in the team in hits...also like that line with Kruger and Smith.

You need a Carcillo when you play a team like the Blues - it's the nature of the beast sadly. To his credit he's played with more purpose this season and not taken as many bad penalties. Personally I'd rather have more Brouwer, Ladd type players - physical players that are good with the puck...

lol, versteeg sucked last year. Cost us a cup? maybe.
I am happy he turned his game around and recovered from knee surgery nicely. Sorry he got hurt last game. He and kane have some chemistry.

Anyways, it is all about the playoffs. Anyone thinks Richards will be an asset? Carcillo?
