Nice job Bo0s.
Left for the bar and the score was 0-3

Got there and it was 3-2 Turned around and it was 3-3 going into OT. This team is showing the results of the rebuild.

Think your right or maybe its going as planned. The pieces are showing what they were brought in for. Still a couple years away. better than a bunch of years away.

lots of character on this team right now, some skill in the lower levels plus depth down the middle too

Still so much unknown to us with some of these guys. Even with Girgensons, the assumption is that he'll continue to get better and better, but what if it's minimal compared to what he is already?

The rebuild may be moving quicker but to what exactly? I'd rather be a bunch of years away from a stanley cup rather than a few years away from a 2nd round exit. Not saying that's what they are destined for, just something to consider.

We give the oilers poop for what a mess they've been but in a few years nobody will remember when they have Eichel, Draisaitl and Nugent hopkins down the middle. We did the same thing with hawks, kings and pens. All of them at one point were considered a "joke".

I like the flashes of what we've seen from the kids so far. Those flashes are starting to appear with more regularity as well. I dare say that with the exception of the first month of the season, it's been fun to watch.

three years ago I'd have agreed with you, and still do to an extent...but missing out on mceichel, imo, won't be detrimental to this rebuild...it's not to say I don't want a top-2 pick, but a hanifin, strome, barzal, etc. will have a sound environment awaiting them in buffalo

I was out having dinner with a friend from out of town, so I wasn't able to watch the way I would if I was home. Somehow as soon as we left dinner and started driving to our next destination, they managed to complete the comeback, force OT and win the shootout. Apparently I just needed to be in the car instead of sort of watching it.

its complete bs bcz they don't deserve to be good. Atleast Chicago hit on 2nd rounders and their rebuild was done in a respectable time frame. There should be rules so that you cannot draft extremely high in 3 consecutive drafts. Just no incentive to finish 4th last over last.

My biggest worry has never been missing out on mceichel (though like you i'd love to have them here). I just would have felt more comfortable about the rebuild with one of those two.

Don't get me wrong I like Girgensons and what he's accomplished right now, but at what cost? Too early to say obviously but part of me is envious of that edmonton group. They're willing to burn through all kinds of money and PR in an effort to get that generational talent. Our guys caved the moment we started chanting fire Darcy and brought in a couple of fan favourites.

My worry is them missing out on the 2nd group you mentioned. It could still go either way here as the bottom 10 or so isn't separated by a whole lot with the exception of edmonton. They could drop as low as 29 or go as high as 20 or 21. I imagine Murray has envisioned all scenarios but im guessing even he would admit that the latter is highly unfavourable for us.

too early to worry about that, imo...there are four or five vets who probably will be moved at the deadline...as much as I like Schaller, Larsson, pysyk and whomever else, the nhl's a different beast

To anyone that is playing HBSL...

Patric Hornqvist got injured last night and will be out for a couple of weeks. Thought that some people would have him in their lineup.

murray alluded to doing the "right thing" by focusing on the long term as opposed to a valiant run to 9th...I'm still klinging to that

The only reason why I don't totally welcome us winning multiple Cups are the bandwagon fans that come with it. On social media I often have a headache reading the things these "fans" post. Lots of puck bunnies will show up too, sadly.

They were good. The interesting part about theirs is they let you mix sauces. They have your traditional hot, medium, and mild, but they also have cajun and honey mustard.

We got some medium wings, some that were a mix of hot and honey mustard, and some that were a mix of hot and cajun.

The Hot Honey Mustard ones were amazing. They char grill those and the cajun ones. Very good.
