I don't like our chances with Emery in net if the Flyers decide to trade chances. Could be a long night if they let the gaps get too wide.

I'm not feeling particularly good about this game. Has the makings of a beatdown.

I think you forgot to include the writeup on Stollie and Art Ross Akeson delivering for the Phantoms. Interesting that Murray continues to use Akeson on the PK. He's really played well for them over the last 5 games or so.

But can he play as a fourth-liner? If not, he's a bum...

this team pays long stretches like they have no heart and the have a knucklehead for a coach. Its frustrating to watch the same stupid mistakes and the same plays over again and again and again.

I'm fairly confident that the rest of the league has caught onto the fact that the flyers have the same PP breakout play ( up the wing slingshot to Giroux in the middle) and then the same setup ( Giroux at the left circle, pass to someone in the slot)

luke Schenn is out of position more often than in. umberger skates slower than a senior citizen and lecavalier is simply invisible except when they give up a goal against.

Bill is it me or what " lecavalier just looks lost? and Umberger looks like a ham sandwich on soggy white bread.

He must not be that bad defensively if Murray is using him on the PK

They need to keep an eye out for passes across the crease and watch the back door, especially on the PK. Everyone knows that Emery has trouble going post-to-post, and we've seen teams like the Rangers exploit it in the past.

Pretty much. If they string together wins that's great. But playing .500 hockey is the worst thing that could happen to this team.

And for the love of god stop coming out of games with 1 point. Brutal.

There are games when the PP looks completely lost, but you're talking about the league's 5th ranked PP this year. They were 8th ranked last year, 3rd ranked in 12-13, and 6th ranked in 11-12 granted there was different personnel dating back to then. As much as the breakout bothers me (and some of the predictable passing that ensues), I can't complain about our 1st unit. The 2nd unit on the other hand has become useless. Then again, Umberger is on it so I guess that explains that Somewhat joking, somewhat serious. I still don't understand how he kept his role on the 2nd PP when Vinny came back, but Laughton got the boot. Anyone? Bueller?

The Leafs are a bad matchup for the Flyers, particularly when Emery is in net. JVR is a guarantee for at least 1 tonight.

not sure what mdz did to get in the doghouse, but he sure seems stuck there. what does that say about him if he can't crack this poop show of d corps? is it because they need a more physical stay at home type in the mix? is it because the coach is an idiot? is it because he really sucks? what's the deal here?
