A win is a win but like I said last night I feel for those ranger fans in the eastern time zone that stayed up for that !! |

Nice spear by Tavares to Zidlicky's nuts. Only gave him 2 minutes for slashing. What a BS call. Devils need to send that tape into the league. |

Good for the players, big FU to Murray and Pegula. May end up costing them a spot selection due to the disaster that is Edmonton, but gotta think they'll fall back to expectations by the end of the season. |

Carolina is tied with EDM with 19 pts. McDavid and Eichel will end up in those 2 cities IMO. |

Any other player would have gotten a Match penalty for that; especially if he was on the Rangers
I think that warrants a game or two in the press box. |

While I agree it probably should be a game, I have no problem with what Tavares did. Star players should have some nastiness to there game. I'm sure Tavares thought Zidliky was going for his knees (even though it was clean) and he responded that way. I remember Messier constantly putting an elbow into another players grill when they were going for a big hit against him. If your going for a big hit on a star player, prepare for the consequences. |

I agree that some nastiness can be a good thing but have to disagree
That doing dangerous things is a good idea. Man, Mess would
Just take a guy's head off when he was ticked. Scary! |

I am all for players sticking up for/defending themselves; but not with using their sticks. Players like Messier did use his elbows, but also his fists when it came to it. Mess had a nasty side to his game. Even Mike Modano knows that ( someone has to show that video...don't remember who dropped Modano the worst that game...Messier or the EMT's ) |

I don't have much confidence in cam this year. Outside the 2 flyers games he's been terrible.
On a side note, over the past half decade the rangers have been a great team on the road and mediocre at home except for the year they won the east during the regular season. They should start piling up more wins now that they have more road games coming up. |

Thats why I give Tavares a pass. He isnt a fighter or a mean (frank) like Lucic. Lucic was a wussy doing that, cause he can fight and has no problem playing the tough game. |

It is a little bizarre that they continue that trend. Doesn't matter who the players are, or who the coach is, results are similar. They don't like MSG. |

I think visiting just get amped to play in MSG, under the bright lights. Like the opposite of Nashville. Visiting team go into the city of Nashville, have a great time around the city and stink on the ice. I think team feel like they can get away in NYC, because it's so big and almost nobody will notice them. Like Joffery Lupol Christmas shopping in NYC last year right before the WC. |
