Not even Mike Babcock could fix this team with the current roster. Eakins' lack of experience may not have helped, but it definitely wasn't the main reason. |

Would the Senators not need to pay him if he took a new job? I would think they would still need to fulfill their contract with him regardless of if he takes another job or not?? |

Mactavish should have been fired, not Eakins. It's the responsibility of the GM to provide the coach with a team to work with and Mactavish failed miserably. Defence is probably the worst in the league, goaltenders are just average, and the forwards are to young with little to no depth. Grade: F
They need a real GM if they really hope to improve. |

I think he would't be able to sign with another team unless the Sens released him from his contract. It would be a mutual termination |
